I have lost 125 pounds in 7 months with my band and I have 75 more to do. I would do it again in a heart beat! I'm alive know before I was just surviving!

I will try to have ma passport in time!!

Good afternoon I wanted to share with you ma before and after pic, I have more weight to lose but I can't belive the difference after almost 110 pounds lost.. The before pic was taken febuary 16 and the after pic today I feel like a new woman!!!:rolleyes2:

thanks everyone I called ma doc and talk to his secretary, he is in surgery all day, and will call me back some day. Right now I feel weird but I think it's all in my head:laugh: ma husband went to the drug store and got chewable Gravol for me I will start taking it know to be sure not to vomit if I get the virus. If I get sick I will go to the ER to get unfill (I hate only 1.5 cc in my band so I'm not to tight) Thanks again

2 of my 3 kids have a stomac bug, they are vomiting a lot, I'M so afraid to catch it...what happen if I get it? It's the first time since my surgery in june that we are sick so I don't know what to do! Please Help!!!!

I take Centrum selec 50+ chewable as my doctor recomand

May 29 I was the first day of my Optifas 3 weeks pre-op diet I lost 50 pounds in 3 weeks june 19 surgery day and I had lost 52 pounds up to now thanks I feel so good know!!!:biggrin:

I had that weird taste before surgery while I was on the Optifast diet, after surgery it went away thank God!!!

my 3 kids where on Cloth diapers, I loved them, it,s so good for the environment and even better for my wallet:)

I choose lap band because in québec you have 2 choice lap band or bypass and the waiting list for the bypass was so long it was unbelivable ( 6 to 7 years) And lap band was more what I wanted.

My doctor said to me to stop drinking 1 hour before meal and start 2 hours after..at first it was hard by now I'm use to it.

I had ma surgery in Québec part on public helth system and I had to pay 6000$ and I was on a waiting list for 4 years.. In the private systeme in Québec it's between 16 000$ and 18 000$

I don't eat popcorn because I don't like it but my doctor never said anything about that but I will ask next time I see him.

I'm so happy, today was ma weight day and the scale was very nice too me -3.2 pounds and that brings me to 102 down. I just can't belive it I am 102 pounds lighter I feel so good. Now I'm ready fort another 100 pounds!!:laugh::wink2:

One of my friend try and shw was told 7 to 8 years on the waiting list and to me she's already half dead! She's triing to get de money to come to Montreal as soon as possible. When you come to Montréal for your fill maybe we could find time to meet in person, anyway let me know what you think...

Bonjour Madame Suzane I'm doing just great. Ma weight loss is perfect for me. I had ma first ans only fill 5 weeks after my surgery ans up to now every thing works fine. My next appointment is november 27. Where in New-Brunscick are you exactly? I lived in Moncton for 5 years, a whent to Moncton University.

Bonjour les Québécois français! Comment allez vous depuis votre opération? moi j'ai été opéré par le Dr Diec de L'hopital Pierre-Boucher de Longueuil le 19 juin 2008 et depuis je revis. C,est donc merveilleux ce lapband la. Je suis contente de voir d'autre francophone sur le site! Dites-connaissez vous un gros de support dans la région de Montréal autre que celui du Royal Vic? Car on ne peut aller a celui du Royal vic si on a pas été opéré la! En tout cas j'espère avoir de vos nouvelles bientot!

I had my surgery in Longueuil (10 km from Montréal). lizzie the man you met had is surgery in the public systeme so he paid only the band it self but he had to wait a long time to get his surgery. I was also on the public systeme ma band cost me 5 500$ and I was on the waiting list for 3 years before I could meet and talk to my doctor. Then I had to wait another 12 months to get my surgery. For people who don't want to wait there's the private systeme and then the cost of the surgery is between 16 000 and 18 000 and there's almost no waiting time, more like a month to meet the doctor and one ro two month to get the surgery after the meeting with the doctor.

l'hopital Pierre-Boucher of Longueuil has a new surgeon that do the lap band is name is Dr Hugo Diec He's the one that did ma surgery. You may be able to have a appointement with him but the Rockland medical center seems the best choice since it's a private clinic

I use whole wheat tortilla to make pizza you get a light crispy crust it's so good!

I was banded june 19 and I stile have probleme burping.. In a few days you will feel a lot better hang in there!

the 3 weeks before ma surgery my doctor put me on a liquide Protein diet (900 calories a day) and during those 3 weeks I lost 50 pounds and after the surgery I hade lost a other 42 so in total it's 92 pounds. Usualy I lose around 3 pouds a week. I had 1 fill 5 weeks after my surgery I had 1.5cc put in my band, and nothing after because my weight lost is good
