Oops! Forgot to check in last Monday! :biggrin: Last time I posted here I was 258. I am now 252.7 so I'm down 5.3. I should be able to do another 5lbs by Memorial Day :tt2:

I had my first fill on Friday and my surgeon was good. The 1st time all I felt was a pinch. Her pushing down to find my port hurt more than the needle. The second time she stuck me when she had to remove some of the fill she had just put in didnt hurt at all. I wasn't looking so when she said I was done I didn't even know she had done it yet! :biggrin: And I don't get numbed before hand, either.

Hi everyone!! So I got my 1st fill on Friday. My surgeon does her fills under fluoro. So she put in 2ccs and had me drink some barium and after the fill nothing was moving so she took out a half of a cc and then all was good. She said she didnt want to take out any less than that because she was going on vacation for 2 weeks and in case I was too tight she didnt want me to have to see another surgeon. I seem to have pretty good restriction right now. She told me to see how I feel in 2 weeks. If Im still losing two pounds a week, or more then she didn't need to see me for 2 months. If I'm feeling less restriction she said for me to call and make an appointment for a month from Friday so I'm glad she seems to be, I wouldn't say agressive when it comes to fills, but she's not passive about them, either. When I was there Friday I and got weighed I had lost 9lbs since the last time I was there which was 3 weeks prior. So that's 3lbs a week! :confused: I really do love my band!

You're welcome! I got mine today too. One thing I'm confused about is I havent even worn it yet and it says I burned 1500 something calories today. And I dont think I can reset that amount. Hmmm...

I havent recieved mine yet but if I'm not mistaken, there are metal contacts on the underside that touch your skin. They read your body temp and can tell when you sweat. I think I read that the metal is nickel.

I didnt get that bitter yucky taste you usually get from a normal vomit so I'm almost positive there was no acid or bile in it. It looked like (sorry to be graphic) I just put my dinner in a food processor. It wasn't "watered down" looking like normal vomit does. And no you definitely don't have to tell me to be more careful next time. :glare: That was a very valuable, yet scary lesson I learned last night. I will NEVER do that again! Ouch! I'm going to be more careful with my band from now on. I love it too much. :sleep: :bored:

Yes I know it was my fault. I was eating something I had eaten before. Chicken sausage. But it was cooked on the grill and quite possibly too dry even though I ate it with some red sauce. I was ravenous last night (I'm PMSing) and took too big of a bite each time and didn't chew enough AND didn't wait long enough in between bites. Then the pain came. It wasn't unbearable but it was a slightly sharp pain in my chest and then the foam and slime started. Everytime I tried to burp it would foam and I would spit. Nothing really came up with it at first and then all of a sudden I gagged and I vomitted as if I didn't even have a band. I wasn't even expecting it. I retched 2, maybe 3 times and each time something came up with it and then I was done. Most of what I ate came back up and I felt a little relief but I was still sliming a little bit. Actually it was more like foam. I feel ok today. A little sore but ok and I'm doing just liquids today just in case but I know people have asked this before and I've searched trying to find the answer but I came up empty handed...how likely is it that I could slip my band by vomitting just once? I'm going in for a possible fill tomorrow, my 1st one, and my surgeon does them under fluoro so she should be able to see if I did anything to it, right? I will definitely tell her what happened. :bored:

Amen! :thumbup: I love my walks during the day. I use 2 of my three breaks at work to walk. The last break I always work right through and forget to take. :thumbup: One 15 min break and my 1/2 hour lunch break and it gives me some very much needed time away from my co-workers. It's so very therapeutic. I don't know how I survived so long without them.

Holy crap! I lost 4.4lbs this week! :thumbup: And the only thing I did differently was eat more! I was keeping myself around 850-900 cals a day and I was walking around 2 miles a day. I upped it to 1100 and voila! :thumbup: I surpassed my 10lb goal by 1.4lbs!

Holy crap! You go, girl! :laugh: I'm down 31lbs and I'm stoked about that. I get my first fill on Friday...I think. I still have a bit of restriction and my surgeon does her fills under fluoro so I guess there's a chance I might not get one. We'll see!
