Hi, I also went to Brno with Cosmetic Bliss and their service was excellent. I paid £4990 which is a really good price, considering hospitals here are charging £10,000. It was very reassuring to have their personal service. They travelled with us, came to the hospital and Deborah was there with every step of the way, for the pre-op tests and was there when i woke up in ITU. She visited every day. Personally, i thought it was worth every penny, especially travelling abroad on my own. The surgeon, Dr Cierny was excellent, I saw him and his team 3 times each day. The nurses were lovely and very efficient and the place was spotless. i'm a nurse myself so am a bit fussy but I couldn't fault it. I had sleeve in November and have lost just over 3 stone, which I'm very happy with.:smile: Kath x

Hi, Thanks for this info, i've just had surgery , gastric sleeve though, not band, but still i was looking for something like this. I got something similar from the chemist but they were much more expensive, so I shall be off to Asda once I can drive again! Thanks Kath x

Hi, My name's Kath. I'm having surgery with Cosmetic Bliss next week, I'm travelling to Brno next Sunday. It's good to hear positive things. So far, the communication with them has been very good and i've been given lots of info. I'm actually having a gastric sleeve. I'm excited but nervous. Doing the pre-op 'liver-shrinking' diet at present. Have lost few pounds this week so far. I did ask my GP about gastric banding, but with a BMI of 39.5 he wasn't interested, even though I have tried everything over the years. Amazing to be told after 30 years of being overweight that I am just not fat enough! So I looked into it privately and found cosmetic bliss, which is when i learned about the gastric sleeve operation. Once I had filled in all the details for the surgeon to consider, he recommended the gastric sleeve instead. Would love to hear from anyone who is considering , or has had this surgery. Kath x
