I've got a date!!! December 12. I'm excited, anxious, scared, etc. I'm more concerned that I'm gonna go crazy on the 2 week pre-opt liquid diet. I just PRAY the pounds drop off so I can feel motivated. I'll start on that the day after Thanksgiving. Talk about a last supper!!!! Anyhow, I'm on board, and so hoping some pounds will come off and that I won't fail at this.

It's amazing how fast the time goes by and every step is a little closer to the life changing moment. It's about all I can think of. My nutrition visit is this coming Monday, 10/27. One month gone, insurance paperwork has been submitted. Just waiting for that call to schedule surgery. Yeah.

Hi....I am in the same condition, diabetes for 10 yrs., 2000 of Glucophage and 100 units of Lantus every night. It's been a terrible struggle, denial, and then acceptance but not a pound lost. I'm ready to meet the Dr. on Tues. and hope my journey will be a blessing. I'm so encouraged when i read stories about how fast the diabetes gets better. I guess 4oz of food is the trick. thank goodness there is this surgery to help us along the way.
take care

Hi Molly Molly,.......this is Molly from Virginia. I haven't been banded yet, first meeting with Dr. is Tues. I'm worried about giving up soda, but maybe the hurting will convince me. My sister lives in Richland, WA and is having lap band surgery in Spokane sometime soon.

Hello all,
I began my journey to a thinner me last Monday night. My first Dr. visit is on Tuesday. I'm anxious and scared. I want it done yesterday, but all I can think of is food and how little I will be able to eat. When I 'm not thinking about that, I'm thinking of the million things I will enjoy if I get thinner. I guess my number one question is - Is it worth it?
Thanks for all your support in advance.
