  4. I've got a date!!! December 12. I'm excited, anxious, scared, etc. I'm more concerned that I'm gonna go crazy on the 2 week pre-opt liquid diet. I just PRAY the pounds drop off so I can feel motivated. I'll start on that the day after Thanksgiving. Talk about a last supper!!!! Anyhow, I'm on board, and so hoping some pounds will come off and that I won't fail at this.

    I am approved!!!!!!!!

I found out today, 10/24, I am APPROVED !!!! Paper work has to hit the Dr. office before they will actually schedule, but I'm hoping for Nov. 20 or Dec. 11. Sooner the better I say. I'm worried I will really miss the food, especially for those two weeks pre opt. I go for my Nutrition 4 hour class on Monday night. At least I'll know more after that. Right now, I seem to want to eat everything I think I won't have later. Not a good pre opt plan. Good luck to ya'll too. Let's "band" together. Molly:thumbup:
  6. It's amazing how fast the time goes by and every step is a little closer to the life changing moment. It's about all I can think of. My nutrition visit is this coming Monday, 10/27. One month gone, insurance paperwork has been submitted. Just waiting for that call to schedule surgery. Yeah.

  8. Ditto..... plus I won't miss not being able to shave my legs easily and going into the Dairy Queen and everybody in there thinks I shouldn't be there. and being labeled "obese".....I don't like that word!!!!

    Newbie from chicago: HI!

Hi Newbie.....I have my first Dr. visit this Tues. I want to get the ball rolling so I won't have to wait too long for the surgery. Once I made up my mind to do it, I want to get on with it. Good Luck to you.
  10. Hi....I am in the same condition, diabetes for 10 yrs., 2000 of Glucophage and 100 units of Lantus every night. It's been a terrible struggle, denial, and then acceptance but not a pound lost. I'm ready to meet the Dr. on Tues. and hope my journey will be a blessing. I'm so encouraged when i read stories about how fast the diabetes gets better. I guess 4oz of food is the trick. thank goodness there is this surgery to help us along the way.

    take care

  11. Hi Molly Molly,.......this is Molly from Virginia. I haven't been banded yet, first meeting with Dr. is Tues. I'm worried about giving up soda, but maybe the hurting will convince me. My sister lives in Richland, WA and is having lap band surgery in Spokane sometime soon.

    New from Central Virginia

Hi...my first Dr. visit is on Tues. 9/30. I want everything to go quickly but it seems like waiting is the worst of the whole surgery thing. Let's keep in touch and see how it goes for both of us. Molly
  13. Hello all,

I began my journey to a thinner me last Monday night. My first Dr. visit is on Tuesday. I'm anxious and scared. I want it done yesterday, but all I can think of is food and how little I will be able to eat. When I 'm not thinking about that, I'm thinking of the million things I will enjoy if I get thinner. I guess my number one question is - Is it worth it?

Thanks for all your support in advance.
