I had lapband surgery on September 24, 2008. I lost 40lbs. within the first three months. My starting weight was 242lbs. I ended up gaining 10lbs back after a few months. The acid reflux was unbearable. I meet Dr. Aley Tohamy, a GI surgeon, because my mom was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2012. He saved her life since she was given a few months to live. After her passing on Easter Sunday 2013, Dr. T (as he is known), asked me when I wanted to do the revision surgery. We decided on May 7, 2013! Since that day, I've gone from 201lbs to 157. At one point, I was 152lbs. If I can get down to 145lbs, I will be extremely happy with myself.
