February 2024 Surgery Buddies?
Fluffyfluff replied to NickelChip's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery complete! It was on the 12th. I’m not going to lie -it really hurts. The first day or two was pretty rough. Besides my stomach hurting my throat was so angry from the tube. I’m going to blame that on my snoring… I find that every day I’m feeling much better than the last. From the start of my liquid diet a week before to now I’m down 12 lbs. that makes me very very happy. Definitely the most productive weight loss I’ve ever had. Im 6 days post-op and feeling pretty good- I get a twinge of pain when I use my stomachs muscles like laying down or sitting up but just a twinge like a 2/10. Now I’m ready to get going- I want to get the weight off and keep it off. -
WHAT does religion have to do with me having surgery??????

See this is where I go back to the “if you didn’t ask for an opinion or advise- please don’t offer it”. I admit I have a pet peeve when people bash others over the head with their personal beliefs. If that’s how they feel wonderful it’s not an option for them- but I’m not them and didn’t ask for their approval. I’ll say you handled it better than I would have. I think I’d have went one of two directions. Laughed at their idiocy or verbally lashed out. Either way doubtful any lightbulbs would have went on. -

So glad Im not the only one who feels this way. Its funny not in a humorous way that everyone has an opinion on this surgery. Just diet, work out more.... Ive done it all. Now then, I haven't told anyone Im actually going to have this surgery. I have no idea what I am going to say about not eating certain things and or losing weight. I think Im leaning toward an ulcer or hernia surgery.... Good luck to you too. Can I ask why you chose GP and not something else like a sleeve? I was told I was a better candidate for the sleeve but originally, I was leaning toward GP. -

February 12! I’m excited and terrified. Specifically I’m terrified something will get in my way of having surgery.
