I’m not sure how I am doing I started at 145kg Op day 31/5 I was 135kg Today 19/7 I am 121.6 kg I’m losing 1kg per week but just seems very slow especially when the first 3 months your suppose to lose the most.

So I was recommended an absorbent dressing my one is called aquacel. It seems to have improved the healing process and sped it up. Be warned when you first apply it, it does open up the wound a little as it sucks all the crap out of the open wound.

Hi Calli, I’m 2 weeks post op and same here two wounds refuse to heal and one behave infected. So I am not on Antibiotics and ointment. Surgeon said they will need to close by secondary intention, so will need dressing and salt baths. Pretty annoying. However I have lost 17 kg so far including the pre op diet

I had my sleeve in 31/5, woke up feeling terrible wanting to vomit, pee, cry and hiccup at the same time. Loaded me up with morphine. Surgeon came said all my fat was in the abdomen made keeping the ports in difficult so I would be extra sore. Now day 3 post op. Gas pain still there and terrible and abdominal pain is crap. Don’t want to sit or stand or lay flat. Very dehydrated. Just wish I wasn’t so dehydrated

Hello my operation is on 31st May 1: Not really nervous more excited. I have done my research. I am a little nervous about head hunger 2: Bag will have slippers, change of clothes, charger, headphones, toothbrush. Reading others will put in lip balm 3: Most excited to fit in my old clothes and be more active with my son. Just better health overall
