We have the same surgery date!! I'm lucky in that they don't require a full 2 weeks of the pre-op diet for me. I start on Tuesday, but no meal for dinner. Protein drinks for all 3 meals and then other stuff for snacks. Best of luck to you!!!!

I love those ideas! Not sure I can do curbside. Where we live, it's not widely available, but I'll look into it! Takeout is for sure an option! I like that! Sadly we can't do a hotel. We have indoor and outdoor animals here at home, and my pet sitter is going to make 2 trips here on surgery day, but can't spend that night. It's ok, as of now they are just saying rain... should be fine! My husband isn't afraid of driving in bad weather, and we have an AWD. I'm the nervous one. I even think, "What if the surgeon can't get there?" But I think the weather will be good.

I feel like you all. Please don't let me get sick!! I have limited appointments outside the house, but I still have a couple of things I need to do, including grocery shopping for my preop diet that starts next Tuesday. I want to go out to eat while I can, but then, on the other hand, I don't. Lol! And then, what if it snows and we can't get out of here! I'm going to stop all this and turn it over to God. He's got me! Good luck to everyone!!!!!

I had my pre-op visit yesterday and am happy to learn that I don't start the liquid diet until the 13th.... surgery is the 22nd. Cream of wheat and grains are okay as snacks! Also fat free yoghurt, sugar-free pudding, and some other things that will make it not so bad.

I'm guessing that the profile information can be filled in under "profile". At least that might be a starting point!

I feel the same... excited and nervous. I was so lucky that the therapist who did my psych evaluation for the surgeon had the surgery about 10 years ago and has kept her weight off. I'm meeting with her again 2 days before surgery for some reassurance and help with the nerves. All you get for 2 weeks is skimmed milk? that sounds really harsh! I'm not even sure that's sustainable???
