I wasn't ready for more than clear liquids until about a week after....it was ok honestly for the week....then I went to full liquids...I was READY for those....then craving mushies by the 4th week!!! I don't think it would be easy at all for clear liquids for a month!! I've done it and it's TOUGH....but it's possible!!! God BLess, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -77lbs

I cannot imagine having a stroke...you are SO YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!! I am 38 so things like this make a person think!!!!!! I got married @36ys old and wouldn't take teh pill because I was over 35 and overweight....don't smoke, but figured the other 2 were enough!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!! My doc sprays anesthetic on my skin and then goes for it....doesn't hurt. I can feel it....but not bad at all....my doc doesn't use the flouro unless there's a problem...I just drink Water and if it goes through I go home!! God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -77lbs

I think TORTURE is the right word!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you could at least have full liquids if you can't live on clear....like cream soups and such!!! Go slow if you do make the choice for mushies.....pencil eraser size bites.... and remember don't ask "am I full?" ask "am I still hungry?"....you'll need MUCH less that way!!!!! I used to live in Sebring (Highlands county--next county over) and worked in Lake Wales (right next to Winter Haven). Nice area. 20 lbs is EXCELLENT!!!!!! Don't discount it!! Exercise sure makes me feel better!!! I have SOMUCH more energy....we are buying a house and will have MORE space so I can do videos when it's too hot or raining! I wouldn't call this a regret....but maybe a reality check:the band can be VERY controlling...meaning if you eat too big of bite...you could be sick for an hour or not?! You can eat something one day and eat the very same thing the next day and it causes you to pb and slime for an hour! This is not common and the more experience you gain it's better! A heart to heart is ALWAYS good.... My husband also walks with me....I tell him it goes much faster and we both feel SO MUCH better!!!! He agrees. He is now eating on a smaller plate along w/ me....but definitely more! He mentions he should just eat what I do....but he doesn't have the band and doesn't need it.... Try to be upbeat and positive...not nagging! Nagging NEVER works.... most dig their heels in when nagged....at least I do!!! Praise him for any little success and good choice....it goes a long way!!! My 2nd fill....I woke up w/ a headache so without thinking threw back 15ml (1 TBS) of room temperature tylenol and for the next HOUR foamed pink stuff, slimed, gagged, et al!! It was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! Someone explained the slime and foam came as a result of our stomach trying to "work" them through!!? This band is SUCH a learning curve!!!!! Some days things work while other days feel like death is close!! Finally got madder than snot at my band on Saturday....ate 1 small bite of cheese and then took a sip of Water and got that chest pain/golf ball feeling and got really mad at the control it has over me!!!!!!!!!!! Now....of course, my period started yesterday....so explains why that little bitty bite messed w/ me I guess....AND......I have done well w/ the band....but thinking that I was normal to get mad....it just always seems to happen when hubby and I are enjoying ourselves and it blurps up and makes me miserable for clearance!! Oh well.....still wouldn't give it up......VERY pleased w/ where I'm at...most days!! God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -75lbs
