I live about 104 mi from the place and was on my way home and vomitted all over after a sip of Water....so back I went....I had made it 50miles....so was not thrilled w/ so much driving...he did the 2nd one under flouro....took out 0.1 cc....amazes me that little bit matters.....but it did seem good!! You are eating too big of bites....too fast!! I know from PERSONAL experience!! You have to eat bites equal to or smaller than a pencil eraser and chew to goo!! It's not good to keep doing this...it can cause band slippage!!!! The best treatment is prevention---don't let it happen....slow way down!!!! You may be experiencing gas.....I had it into my neck and ear of all places!?! Anyway....walk and move that gas....also Maalox Max helped significantly....moved EVERYTHING....but my neck quit hurting!!! God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -52lbs

I am a health care provider and feel they SHOULD cover obesity surgery... there are so many long term expenses related to obesity!!! But we are more into bandaiding than preventing!!!! God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -52lbs :bananajump:

The answer would be each person is individual....we have to keep going until we are able to eat only 1/2 a cup w/o problems and not get hungry for 4-5 hrs and lose weight! At least that's what I have been told! GOd Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -52lbs

I had no recliner or problems after surgery....you just roll to your side and push up w/ elbows and it's reasonable usually!!! Praying you don't have trouble!!! I do have a wonderful husband that would help me out of our mushy couch if I needed it though!! God Bless, MElody Banded 3/20/06 -52lbs

Saul-- You sound like an honest guy that is blunt! I like that men just state the facts and don't go for flattery always. We, women, like the gushy stuff!! Romance your wife....make her feel beautiful again!! You committed to her 22 years ago and I'm impressed that you are together in this day and age!! Don't take the easy out and let your eyes wonder....reassure her what she means too you!!!!! She is probably feeling a little insecure w/ your new found confidence....let her know what she means to you!!! FIGHT for your marriage...these young ones may look good....but not many will "stick"...you won't have the same kind of committment you have had thus far!!!! Consider counselling if necessary.....talk to her....she can't read your mind and you can't read hers!!! I will be praying for you and she and I pray you choose each other!!!! Sonriose-- Don't know when you posted this....but I did the same thing....I had to push myself to drink!!! Call your doc and get something for the nausea....they do NOT want you to throw up as you can move your band!! The pain meds could be causing this as Sherri said earlier! You will be fine as long as you don't dehydrate....even a teaspoon every 5 minutes is similar to an IV.....call and get something to slow down the nausea. God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -52lbs

Sherri-- It's funny how one little thought buries itself in and then we go plan our funerals!!! I have done the same in the past!!!! I am medical so I think the worst and must fight that!!!!! Fat Crusader-- Congrats on your first fill....hoping it does the job for you!! I had my first fill in early May.....he wanted me back in June but didn't need it....so now scheduled for July 5th....thinking it would boost me again....I am able to eat 1cup now w/o a problem!!! UGH!!! Didn't lose last week....but didn't gain PRAISE GOD!!!! I used to would have gained!!! NOw I am HAPPY w/ not gaining at least!!!! But ready to lose some more!!! Wow....what a GREAT question....what a tough question!!!! So many of you have touched my heart in your honesty in where you are!!!! I have been overweight since childhood....well, even since birth!! I have always felt ugly because of my fat! I have defined my life by my weight and limited myself.....I protected myself as well. If I wasn't "pretty" in my eyes....then no one would hurt me!! Well....someone made it past my protection and he married me and loved me anyway 2 ys ago!!! But then he held me as I cried myself to sleep one night at hating my weight and where I was.....so when I brought up the surgery which I had been watching for a couple years....he listened. My dad had open heart at 48ys old....my family has a HUGE history of diabetes....I just didn't want to go there!!! I am a health care provider and telling others to lose weight while sitting there overweight just didn't make sense....was INSANE!! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!! Diets were insane....I could lose the weight for the most part....but never kept the weight off!! Malice X Girl-- I am a Christian and have fasted w/ Water only for 10days at a time.... it's VERY tough....but I draw closer to the Lord and He strengthens me....but without Him I can't make it a few hours!!! I lost about 40 pounds I believe?? Now since my first and only fill 5wks ago I've lost another 12 pounds....was hoping for 20lbs....but don't think I"m going to drop 8lbs by then?!?!? Vickie-- I was told clear liquids for 2 full days then full liquids for 2 days then he said mushies and advance....it was tough! I decided to "cheat" w/ some chunks from a Soup.....I was MISERABLE!!!!!!!! My doc has been banded himself and has quite a bit of experience so I went w/ his advice.
