New Clothes
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Shipping from Canada - UK is probably very expensive, but part of me could be tempted 😂 -
New Clothes
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It is really strange! I think I have only felt like this once in my life when I got down to 12 stone when I was at university, and I was just in shock 🤣 I genuinely stopped clothes shopping when I was at my heaviest, I just didn't feel like I deserved it and I didn't want the embarrassment, as a result most of my clothes I have now are very tattered so I will be happy to get rid haha! Thank you! Congrats to us both! I am really happy you are feeling that way! -
New Clothes
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
See I have thought about buying things online but I am so hesitant as I know that everywhere can have different sizing and I don't want to order something and then just have to return it, I am too lazy 😂 Amazing that you are so close to your goal, well done! -

Literally is! It is so strange that the mind just refuses to believe that we are a smaller size now, but I kinda like that I am pleasantly surprised every time 😂 Thank you so much!! -

A Sparkling New Week
Bypass2Freedom replied to MrsFitz's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am so glad you had a lovely week! What did you have for your anniversary dinner? 😍 The weather at the moment is awful isn't it 🤣 Literally we are just predicted heavy rain & thunderstorms in the South East! Not particularly keen given that I have 0 clothes that fit so I am severely underprepared 😂 I am so happy to hear about your clothes fitting & how happy that made you - genuinely put a smile on my face! You are doing so well ❤️ I still haven't been to the gym but my excuse this time is that my boyfriend is having to use my car for work and therefore I can't get there in the mornings until I get it back tomorrow haha. But, hopefully, I'll have someone coming with me so we shall see! Have a good rest of the week ❤️ -

Food for months post sleeve
Bypass2Freedom replied to Fars's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know I am a bypass patient so it is a little different, but I tend to eat similar things as others have said this far out! Breakfast (when I manage to eat it) tends to be a protein porridge pot, or if I don't feel hungry in the morning I have like a protein iced coffee & a protein shake/Huel shake. Lunch tends to be either some form of wrap with chicken, or some sort of salad pot. I don't pre-make my lunches which is probably a bad thing, but also just to encourage myself to walk to the shop at lunchtime so I can get some steps in 😂 Dinners really vary, but I have found that I can eat most things: chicken, beef, fish, seafood etc. So I just cook normal things like spaghetti Bolognese, curries, salmon & broccoli, anything that takes my fancy really! I can eat a small amount of carbs, especially things like brown rice & pasta, but burger buns are just too much so I just take the bun off 😂😂 -
New Clothes
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks for your comments everyone! My boyfriend actually bought me everything I tried on 🤣 Apart from 1 skirt which didn't actually look nice on, so I was happy to put that back aha. I have been paid today so I am having to resist the temptation to buy more clothes...BUT, 3 coats, a skirt and a top is not a full wardrobe to sustain me...so I guess I will have to go shopping 🤷♀️😂 -
Blood in stool after vgs
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bariatric bint's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely do check with your surgeon just to be on the safe side, but I have definitely experienced this quite a lot post-surgery! For me, it is because of the constipation - sometimes I get little tears and this results in bright red blood in the loo! Keep an eye on the colour of the blood, and if it is actually IN your stools, or just in the water. -
14 Days to Go!

Honestly I think everyone worries about this exact same thing! I know I did! Your liver will be all ready to go lovely - try not to hyperfocus on that! ❤️ You've stuck to your LRD that is all it needs! -
Report Your WINS ..What is your today's win??🥇
Bypass2Freedom replied to Mspretty86's topic in Rants & Raves
My win(s) this week... being able to tie my shoelaces by bending down, rather than crossing my legs to reach them walking up the stairs and not feeling out of breath sitting more comfortably & realising I am more flexible without my tummy in the way realising that I FINALLY need to get new clothes...I have put it off for as long as possible 🤣 -
Landed back in the UK late last night, and boy am I happy to have my own bed and be with my cats! I do however have COVID after doing a test last night, which sucks 😂 Athens was amazing! The heat was more than manageable, and I was walking 20-25k steps per day for the whole week, and I wasn't in pain like I was on holiday last year. It was so great to already see and feel that change. I felt like I could actually keep up with my friends. The only thing that I couldn't/didn't want to do, was get to the Acropolis - that was STEEP and I am afraid of heights, so maybe that will be a future thing 😂 I met so many cats which was ideal, and I enjoyed my time thoroughly. I did try a few glasses of white wine, spread out over a few days, and genuinely it had no effect on me! I was really expecting to feel it, but genuinely there was nothing 🤷♀️ I don't think I will choose to drink again haha. I have also managed to lose a few pounds too, so I am feeling happy about that! Unfortunately my boyfriend has put on 8-9lbs due to eating the leftovers from my food bless him 🤣

Back from Holiday!
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Oh bless him It is so hard when they pass isn't it 😕 I haven't had a cat until old age yet - my childhood cat, Chubbs, died when he was maybe 4/5 because of a car I have my old baby Freya (names also include: Freyabean, beany, Halloweenybeanyweeny, Jalebeeno, fattie, fridge...I could go on) she is 9, 10 next year! I also have my little baby Pickle (also called: pickley, pickstick, pickle bum, demon, picky wicky, poo bum etc) and she's almost 6 months old! Both my babies are indoor cats, and honestly I think it is safer and healthier for cats! They live longer! -

Bypass2Freedom replied to NeonRaven8919's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I do have to say I kinda agree with you here! Seems like such a strict and long LRD for no reason! @NeonRaven8919 if my maths is right, I weighed more than you pre-surgery, and I was on an 800 cal a day LRD for 2 weeks - it is mad to me what they are asking of you! Though, with that being said, you are smashing it and that is just reflective of your own strength! -
Hey! I think the important thing to remember here is that everyone is different, and at 6 weeks you are still quite early on post-op and your body is likely still healing The weight loss will happen for the first 18 months according to my surgeon, regardless of the rate of losing, so just know you are on the right track, and a loss of 10kg is absolutely amazing! Celebrate your wins, be kind to yourself, you are doing great

Back from Holiday!
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The heat was so manageable I was shocked! I actually feel warmer since coming back to the UK and the humidity 🤣 My kitties are good - back to normal! Just wanted lots of attention haha. My eldest, Freya, also tends to do the same, but she has been a bit more clingy this time around bless her. How old is George? The Covid is okay yeah, seems to have been a really mild bout of it - I am vaccinated up to my eyeballs mind you - but I think it has helped that I am in a healthier place now! It really does effect people so differently! Thank you ❤️ -
Back from Holiday!
Bypass2Freedom replied to Bypass2Freedom's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Definitely was! No pressure, no need to plan everything, just wing it and relax haha! Feels weird being back at home and not constantly walking for most of the day though! At the moment it feels like a light cold - the cough has gone now and I think I am towards the end of it! And yeah it definitely is When the pandemic first started we almost lost my dad (pre-vaccine), and it was terrifying That is what I was expecting! I don't know if I was just drinking far too slowly, or if it is because I ate inbetween but it just felt like nothing!
