i have pain in my stomach, too. It is a dull pain and I am worried that I might have eaten too much and bursted the band. Can that happen? I see my doc tomorrow and hopefully get some answers.

I have had pain all around my body from my shoulders to my back to my butt. I was banded in Sept. and didn't have these pains before. I am hoping they will go away since my doc is on vacation for the next month!!!

EATING TOO MUCH AT "MUSHY" STAGE! OUt OF CONTROL!
lbradley replied to reconciler's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i'm glad I found this thread, I'm totally binging on soups. I just slurp it down and don't get full, but i should focus on healing and not stress about the food. More protein will help also. I just need to slow down, or eat ice chips instead. But it is so hard... -
Marijuana Use After Surgery

I smoke when I can, but have had problems with munchies. Other than that, it is totally great... eases pain and helps with nausea. If I could just get the munchies under control... -

I have the same cramping feeling around my port incision. It looks like it is healing properly, but I am a little worried. I would call my doctor, but she is on vacation. Many of you have had this feeling, so I feel a little reassured I can wait until she comes back-- 5 days. -
I threw Up!! *sigh*

Yeah, that totally just happened to me. It has been 3 weeks (1 post-band) and i haven't cheated once. It was a bad day at work so i decided to have some enchiladas and beans. I figured i could chew them really well and they would go down. I was WRONG! I pb'd all over the place, accompanied with sliming. Now I know what happens when I don't follow the eating guidelines-- I learned my lesson for sure! -
3 days post op and needs some advise!
lbradley replied to Shauna80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i'm just starting week 2 and am able to eat mashed potatoes and creamy soups-- i feel hungry most of the time and, when not working, eat like every hour. Sometimes i munch on popsicles, other times ice cubes, or i might have a cup of juice. I can only eat a little at a time, but with 30-40 min, i'm ready for more. I hope this is okay. -
Hey, I had Dr Mac too. I love her too. I just had mine done on 9/15 so i won't have my fill for a while. We should all start up a group, I'm game!

i have had bad gas too like this pressure inside me. I'm on day 4 post-op and am able to eat cream-based soups (no chunks). I also drink water and suck down popsicles. I am weak, but surviving. I go back to work on Monday so we will see how that works. I find myself eating/drinking constantly, is that normal?

i've been using CPAP for 4 years now and i didn't have any problems after my surgery (9/15/08). In fact, it actually helped my breathing because it forces your lungs to take long deep breaths while you are sleeping. the only problem i did have was that i like to sleep on my side, and now it takes me awhile to get comfortable on my side, if at all.

I became "banded" three days ago and am able to eat creamy soups (still liquid diet). But I can't tell when I am full and I don't want to risk stretching. Any advice?:crying:

Just a crazy food question
lbradley replied to Jillbeme65's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it has only been three days for me since my surgery, but i can have milk now, so i don't see why you couldn't. I am eating mushy flakes with milk for breakfast and it seems to be okay.:crying:
