My doctor originally wanted me to take 6 weeks. I I've been out 9 weeks so far and counting. I have had a lot of complications and am about to have a feeding tube placed so it's not a common result at all

I have a very physical job as well and understand how hard it is. I've been out of work for 6 weeks already and due to complications and needing a lot of Iv infusions I'm going to be out another 3 weeks. Hang in there -

Anyone else experience complications post bypass? I just had an endoscopy that found ulcers inflammation and stricture at the sit where my new stomach connects to my intestines. Apparently it's because of lack of enough blood flow to the area and is the reason I've been so sick since my surgery 6 weeks ago -

I'm feeling like such a failure right now. 6 days post op and my stomach constantly hurts. Everything, including water goes right through me. I'm struggling to take in and keep in fluids and it is just so hard right now. I'm having major regrets right now and I'm not seeing a bright light in any of this. -

I had mine almost two weeks ago. Lots of protein drinks (breakfast and lunch) and then a low calorie low fat dinner. I start it on December 28th (day after my birthday). Surgery is January 10th. -
