  1. Does anyone else look in the mirror and see their teeth getting seriously darker? I'm thinking this must be connected. I was banded 10/2/08 had my first fil 11/3/08 and am having trouble transitioning to solids. Pretty much been on mushies since surgery. I had one good week last week, no sliming, no discomfort, stirfry & bean cassorole stayed down nicely. Then tried a lil rice & I'm sliming all over again. Wonder if sliming is discoloring teeth. Any ideas?

  2. I've been banded for three days now and things actually seem a lil worse today. I'm bloated, in a lil more pain, very hungry but can't eat because I'm so bloated. I have daily medication to take I can hardly keep down. I live in Jersey C.I. & was banded in England. Jersey is an island between England and France. My doctor lives one of the other islands and it's the weekend. Does anyone have any ideas to help me a bit please? I can't get much in. Haven't had more than a couple of sips of chicken stock and some Water. Hanging in there but really wishing pain would ease up.

  3. Blueyed, I was just banded yesterday in the UK and I'm like you. I'd hoped for the "feeling better the next day" experience and that's not happening. Slim is right, though, make sure you stay on top of your meds; that helps alot or so my nurse has told me. I was trying to "tough it out" but why? I don't need to make this any harder. Be gentle with yourself, move slowly, stay on top of your meds and walk as much as you can. That's the advice I've been given and it's helping. We all have different levels of pain tolerance and, apparently, mines in the cellar. That's ok, though, we all move at our own pace. Eye on prize, as my girlfriend always says. Hang in there and Eye on the prize.

  4. Hi all. This is my first post. My consultation was three weeks ago and my surgery is October 3rd, four days from now. What I've done is cut my portion size down to a side plate. I'm on my pre-op diet and taking in a lot less food. I've been contemplating the "last supper" but have stayed on course. It's helped alot to see, in various posts here, that I don't have to give up the foods I love forever. :thumbup:Thanks to all of you for pointing that out.
