  1. Like I said the people in this nation are calling what is right, wrong and what is wrong, right. They have it backwards. God will not continue to bless this Nation if we don't change and repent.
  2. We (the government)don't and never have needed to be protected from Christianity. belief in God and his word does no harm. It protects us by laying down the laws as God deemed fit for us. This country was formed on that faith. It was the church that needed to protect itself from government interference. That was why the fonding fathers wrote the first amendment. They never intended for the government to kick out or get rid of God's good book and our abiding by it.
  3. I'll say it again. The First Amendment, whose purpose was to protect religion from government interference, has been "interrupted" to mean almost exactly the opposite! Now, according to the "majority" on the Supreme Court, government must be protected from religion, a view that is contrary to what the First Amendment declares and to what the Founding fathers intended.
  4. No. Those like you who want it to be about protecting the government from church have turned the original intent of the amendment around so that it is about protecting the gov. from church instead of what it was originally written for, Which was to protect the church from gov. interference. Why would they write up something to protect the government from religion when back then it was the churches that needed to be protected from the governments infiltration and dictatorship. They wanted to get away from that.

    Is God real?

racial bigot? Where do you get that? I don't say that people need to become 'christian'. Just that they shouldn't try to change this nations founding faith. Here you can worship Satan if you so choose and noone will say a word, but try to set up a Satanic Alter on your town green and see what they say. English is the first language spoken here and the common language. Others can come to this country and speak any language they want. Noone stops them. But try to expect that ALL signs be changed to accomodate your specific language instead of english, the original language, and see what the people have to say about it. I am a believer in Christ, and nothing more. I am not a 'religious' person in any way shape or form, therefore, I am not a religious zealot. I am also not a racist of any kind. BTW, I have said nothing in need of God's forgiveness and I am also not in need of your forgiveness. (unless of course I have personally offended you, then I will apologize for that. It was nothing personal. I don't even know you.)

    Is God real?

It's kind of like the english language. In this country, we speak english. All tongues are welcome here. We will not deny you your right to speak in any language you choose. Just don't try to make the original language, english, disappear. We will not accomodate other languages, meaning we're not going to change all our road signs so every language is represented, we won't put our laws in german or french, etc. If you want to live here, you need to learn english, or tolerate the language as best you can. This is what this country is all about. English. (Substitute Christianity for English.)
  7. The initial purpose of the first ammendment was to protect the church from government interference not the other way around. Today people who cry out 'separation of church and state' don't really get what the 1st amendment was trying to do.
  8. And your answers make sense to you! Please check out this link. http://www.worshippingchristian.org/constitution_and_religion.html
  9. It is true that the bible nowhere mentions the word abortion. But that is because it is a fairly new term for the act. The bible also never mentions the word Trinity, either, but the 3 fold personhood of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is still real. The bible does not have the term 'The Rapture', yet bible believers know and understand that the taking away of believers in Christ before Jesus returns will happen. The word 'abortion' does not have to appear in the bible to get an understanding of what God says about the life he created in the womb.
  10. So, everyone should just mind their own business? We shouldn't try to protect people from killing other people? Seeing that prolife people feel that an abortion kills a human being, that's like asking them to stop helping to stop injustices. If a man was going to kill a child, and felt it was okay to do so, shouldn't others step in and try to stop that killing? We have laws against that. The problem lies with the prolifers belief that the baby in the womb is actually a baby, and not a blob of tissue. Try to put those who believe that way into your shoes. If you felt that every baby that was being aborted was the killing of a human being, then you would be able to see our stance on the problem and get a sense of how we feel.
  11. What are you talking about? I said that Adam and Eve's children didn't commit incest with each other. I also said that a woman of 14 is perfectly capable in God's eyes of having a baby. I don't get what you're asking.
  12. God took a rib from Adam to make Eve. There was no sex involved. The bible says that God created Adam and Eve and they had Cain and Abel and other children. It doesn't state that Adam and Eve were the ONLY two people created from dust. It doesn't state that they were not, either. So, perhaps God created other people at that time as well and these had marriage with Adam and Eves children in order to procreate. Or, maybe Adam's children had sex with their siblings in order to procreate for there may have been no other way and God permitted it at that time. Mary, the mother of Jesus was 14 when she had Jesus. In our society she would be considered a child. But God considered her old enough. Males and females can have babies at the time of puberty. It is mankind who determined that a child is under 18 and an adult is over 18. Not God. Therefore, nothing was wrong there. And lastly, alot of people have gotten killed for their beliefs. Doesn't make it right.
  13. Having sex with children or relatives is nowhere advocated in the bible. Killing people for their beliefs isn't either. As for stoning people, in the OT, God allowed for cosequences for sin. The death penalty was allowed. They didn't have lethal injections back then like we do today, so stoning was the way they delt out the death penalty. So yes, we should follow it all.
  14. Many people can have a relationship with God and still be wrong on issues. So, I did not decide that you had no relationship with him, just that you were wrong on what he taught us. I have a very devout catholic friend who loves God and has a very special relationship with him. I do not doubt her sincerity. But I do question some of her beliefs. For instance she was taught that Mary, the mother of Jesus was a virgin all her life and was without sin. I know for a fact that the bible teaches that Mary had other children. It also teaches that ONLY Jesus was sinless. Now, what she believed to be true did not negate the fact that she had a relationship with God, it only meant that what she believed he taught was not factual. In my friends case, we had talked about her beliefs and I shared with her from the scripture the inconsistencies her leaders had taught her. I didn't make a big deal out of it, nor did she, because what was most important was that she had a relationship with God. In the end, God will show the believers all of the mistakes they have made in their lives. I will be shown mine and you yours. Their mistakes will not keep the believers from their home in Heaven with their Father after they die. But, they may keep a believer from fully understanding God as he wants them to here and now. So, if you don't understand that abortion is not what God would want, then when you get to heaven some day, he will clear up how he truely feels on this issue at that time. I believe, through an intensive study of the bible, that to abort a baby in the womb is wrong in God's eyes. I believe he has spoken clearly in his word about this. I don't feel that it is a gray area in scripture. Just as I don't feel that gay marriage is a gray area in scripture. Some things God has made very black and white. Others, not so.
  15. If you are familiar with the passages I quoted, then how is it that you do not consider the life in the womb as God does? Special and created, as well as God having a plan for its life? If women abort, how can God's plan for that life continue?
  16. bjean, you are welcomed. And will you also take into consideration the truths from God's word that I have given to you? Maybe look them up for yourself?

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

That is true, since most people only want the dirt on others. This is true in the news and in the paper as well. When do we see mostly good news reported?
  18. I am sorry that this topic hits you so personally. I know that you have had an abortion. It is difficult to discuss the prolife stand without bringing up the fact that it is killing life. If it could be said any easier, people wouldn't become so offended, but I don't see how prolifers can express their view on the issue without calling it murder, plain and simple. I do believe that women who have had abortions simply never saw it as murder beforehand, and therefore did not have any 'evil' intent in mind when they had their abortion. This doesn't make it any less wrong, though. I have pointed out my belief that the baby in the womb is just as precious to God as the newly born child is to him. I have pointed out that abortion is wrong. I have also told of God's forgiveness for anyone who has had an abortion. God is not merciless. He understands our nature. He made us. He also made a way for us to escape his condemnation. So, I apologize to you personally if you have been offended by my stand on abortion. But, I can not change my belief that it is murdering a human being. sorry.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Why would you want the show to end quickly? She has to have a job. How will she afford to raise her kids? They have no crew with them on a daily basis, and she is doing the filming and the choosing of what the public can view. She's wiser than jon and kate in that area.IMO.

    Is God real?

Jesus is Lord, A Worshipping Christian Family Please check out this link. I especially want you to read this part, So, in 1947, the relatively simple First Amendment, whose purpose was to protect religion from government interference, has been "interrupted" to mean almost exactly the opposite! Now, according to Justice Black and the "majority" on the Supreme Court, government must be protected from religion, a view that is contrary to what the First Amendment declares and to what the Founding Fathers intended. It almost seems as though the second part of the First Amendment's "religion clause" is completely ignored by the current judicial system. "...prohibiting the free exercise thereof" Now based on what this statement says, the government cannot prohibit a person from professing their faith, praying or speaking about God, in either a public or private forum.
  21. A good retort would be an apology. But as the proclaimed christian that you say you are, you wouldn't think of that. Would you.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

We all 'edit' out the things we don't want others to know about our lives. Only those closest to us do we reveal our mistakes to. I don't believe that before she had the babies implanted that her goal was to have a reality show. I believe that idea came after she knew she'd be having 7 babies.
  23. bjean, I am always willing to consider all that God has for me. Even I am still learning from Him every day. I will consider all you have said.
  24. That's funny, since I know that God has asked me to share the truth from his word about these controversial issues with you. Also, I am not trying to be your link to God. I could never be anyones link to God. Only Jesus can be that. I am actually pleased that you have a relationship with him.

    Is God real?

See my replys above in dark print. .......................................................... I disagree with that. Everything that this country was founded upon had to do with the Christian faith. When the pilgrims landed on plymoth rock, they kissed the ground and praised God in Heaven for this new land. (Not Allah, or the Sun God or Buddah)It was Jesus. They gave him thanks. When the constitution was written, It was Ben Franklin who said that prayer should be offered up to God before every assembly. Again, the christian God. In every court room, the right hand is placed upon the bible to swear in the person to tell the truth. This is the christian bible. Our presidents all say "and may God bless America" after every speech. Not "And may Buddah or Allah bless America". It is 'In God we trust' that is written on our money. (That's the God, Jesus). And it is 'One Nation under God' that's written into our pledge of allegience. (Jesus again) I'm not saying that they were infallible. They were not. But this country was founded because mankind wanted to get away from the 'organized religion' (mainly the Roman church) that would not allow them to worship God freely and live according to what's in the bible only. This country is falling away from the bible and it's truths as of late and if they continue to desire to live in sin instead of His way, you may see God turn his back on this country. God gives man what they want and along with it, the consequences.
