Obama's trip to Montana a big stage!

We are to obey those who have authority over us as God has taught us, except when in doing so it will cause you to go against God's command. Therefore, even if the law of the land gave me the right to have an abortion, I would never do it because God has said it is wrong. I would prefer that the law of the land do the right thing, but since it doesn't, there isn't much that I can do about it. (except try to change the law through my elected officials) I am not sorrowful for myself that the laws allow abortion, but it is sorrow for all of those who commit such sinful atrocities and for all the babies that will never get a chance to experience humanity. Unrepented sin leads to eternal separation from God and that is what is very sad.

My sister chooses to have a gay relationship with her girlfriend. Before that she was married to my brother-in-law for 26 years. My nephew says he has always liked the same sex. I have had conversations with those who are gay. I choose to believe what God says about it. He says it is sinful to have sex with the same sex, and I believe him.

{QUOTE}For you to have any chance in passing and maintaining these laws, it seems to me you will have to make them for secular reasons. Otherwise only the limited people that feel as you do will vote for them. Christians are not a 'limited' people in this nation. There are 90% of us here. I beleieve that for christians to have any hope in passing these laws our way we need to teach the congregants of our local Christian churches the truth about what God says on these issues.

because it is untrue to say that he created her that way.

Absoluterly untrue. The sins of one can affect a whole society. When we allow sin in our midst, it's like a rotton apple that affects the whole barrel of apples. Not just homosexuality, but all sin. As for God judging. He does judge. He will judge. My pointing out that homosexuality is a sin is not my casting judgement. It's telling what God has already said.

People are not 'born' gay. They are born men and women. The act of homosexuality is just that. An act. You may 'choose' to participate or 'choose' not to. If you feel that you are more attracted to the same sex than the opposite sex, you have a decision to make. You can obey God and not act on your lust or you can indulge. But to say that God is pleased with your decision to participate because you have had these desires since as long as you could remember doesn't make it so. He is NOT pleased with it.

The Role of the State By: Dr. Ed Nelson God gave human government for the purpose of protecting life and property. There are many examples in the Old Testament of God's instructions concerning this. For example, in Exodus 21-23 God commanded scriptural judgements to be exercised if men injured or killed one another, if property rights were violated, and if interpersonal relationships were to deteriorate so much that violence or abuse would result. In Romans 13:1-7 the Holy Spirit presents the proper role of government. He begins by stating that ruling powers are ordained of God. In this passage we find that the God ordained purpose of government is to be a terror to evil. "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil... But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." (Romans 13:3-4) Governemnet should protect the citizenry against the evil, and further, it should encourage us to do good. "Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same." (Romans 13:3) Today the government has turned things around until the purpose of government has been seriously perverted from that which God directed. Our government has gone beyond its God given function of protection to add another dimension-- not God-given-- the dimension of provision. Many governmental leaders believe they must provide for men as well as protect them, but such a philosophy is not what God intended. ............................................................ I am in TOTAL agrement with every word he has said here.

Obama's trip to Montana a big stage!

The Father of our Constitution, James Madison, wrote: "We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of GOD." James Madison believed that God's "higher law" should be the basis of all man made law. God's moral law is as certain as the basic law of matter and energy. His laws provide the the absolute guidelines for determining what is right and wrong in specific cases in order to make good laws. Many of our American Founding Fathers clearly recognized this.

That so called 'torture' saved your butt from future attacks. How ungrateful. Would you rather have had thousands of Americans killed in an attack instead? When we go to war, we kill many lives to protect thousands. This was no different, for we are in a time of war.

Kartman, if I am wrong, I simply rot in the ground. No loss. But I am 100% positive that I am right! NO doubts.

Every time a disscussion occurs and an unbeliever disagrees with a christian on an issue like abortion or gay marriage, the christians are called names and told that they are haters and bigots because we obey God. How sad for you. Could it possibly be that we don't hate people , we just don't approve of what they do sometimes, because our God has told us that what they are doing is wrong? Could it be? Yes. We are against the acts of homosexuals, not because we are bigots, but because GOD SAID SO!!!!!!!!! Would you like me to be all for homosexual activity and deny my God and what he has spoken about the deeds of it? Would that make you feel better? How can I, accept what they do as perfectly fine with me, knowing that God disapproves of it? I can not. I wont. As with all mankind, they make their own choices in life. This is why God has given each of us the free will to do as we please. If the gay community wants to sex it up with each other, go for it. Just know that in it, God is not pleased. What else can I say?

Bjean: To deny poor women the right to have a procedure that is legal under the law, is discrimination and it is wrong for America. They may have the procedure, because it is lawful to do so here. But to force others, especially those who feel it is murder, to pay for it is what we don't want and don't agree upon.

Actually, the oldest scriptures ever found match up with those that have been translated from the original greek and english without any contradiction at all. God has his hand upon his word and he will not allow it to be changed or distorted, for it is by his words that mankind will find eternal life.

The words in the bible are God's words to us. If God tells you to do something that is contrary to his words in the bible, then it is not God speaking to you.

It's a shame that you have rejected the one who made you in the first place. My heart goes out to you, because by doing so, you are missing out on a truely loving relationship with him. "Religion" is a dividing source, but being born again is not religion, it's a relationship with God without the interference of organized facilities.

I believe that when we went to war, the pentagon, military leaders, dems and reps both, and the majority of the American people were all for it. And we were attacked first. As far as God advising him as to what to do, I believe it is a good thing for men in leadership to pray and seek his guidance. People who kill their babies because "God told them to" have mental issues and are irrelevent to this discussion. People who hear from God are not schizophrenic.

All people have the potential to tell lies. If I were to choose between a born again christian telling a lie and someone who wasn't a born again believer telling a lie, I would say that the chances are greater that the born again christian is telling the truth. So, only God knows if Bush was lying or not about God telling him to go into Iraq or not. (If he said that at all) But, being that I was once an unbeliever and then became a born again christian via the miracle of the new birth through the Holy Spirit, I know what it is like to be a new creature in Christ. For me to tell a lie is very unnerving on my conscience. I would feel as though I were saddening my Lord and Savior, and therefore, I choose not to lie. I'm not saying I never lie, for that would be a lie. I'm just saying that I am probably less likely to lie than an unbeliever whose conscience wouldn't bother him as much seeing he has noone to answer to for his lies. Most born again christians, like G. Bush, feel the same.

Do you have a problem with war? Because if your neighbor was trying to take your home and your property, what would you do? Allow it? Or fight for your right to own it? Yes, the effects of war are terrible, but they are needed sometimes.

    Is God real?

"If there is a God, then why is there pain and suffering in the world?" "How can a mere finite human be sure that an infinite wisdom would not tolerate certain short-range evils in order for more long-range goods that we could not foresee?" Imagine a bear in a trap and a hunter, who, out of sympathy, wants to liberate him. He tries to win the bears confidence, but he can't do it, so he has to shoot the bear full of drugs. The bear, however, thinks that this is an attack and that the hunter is trying to kill him. He doesn't realize that this is being done out of compassion. Then, in order to get the bear out of the trap, the hunter has to push him further into the trap to release the tension on the spring. If the bear were semiconscious at that point, he would be even more convinced that the hunter was his enemy who was out to cause him suffering and pain. But the bear would be wrong. He reaches this incorrect conclusion because he is not a human being." I believe God does the same thing to us sometimes, and we can't comprehend why he does it any more than the bear can understand the motivations of the hunter. As the bear could have trusted the hunter, so we can trust God.

Wrong! It is those who don't believe in the God who created them, who have spoiled our freedoms from the beginning. They are the ones who want to allow sin, yes sin, to be a part of this nation. "Let everyone do as they please, that's true freedom" "If a woman wants to have sex with another woman, let her, and if they want to raise a family, let them" "Let anyone who wants to murder their babies that aren't born yet do so" Let's make prostitution legal" "Let's legalize marajuana, too." God gave us standards to go by for our own good, not to penalize us and keep us from having fun. Christianity causes no divisions in this country, except for those who just want to do what they want to do and don't want anyone including God to tell them they can't do it! Liberals! sheesh!
