I think there will be many republicans joining the independents. People are SICK of both parties. I for one am joining the independent party. We need someone who will STOP all the MAD spending!!!

I do believe in Hell and Satan, both. I just don't agree that there is a "literal' fire there. The bible says that God is an all consuming fire, yet we know God is not 'literally' a fire. The bible teaches that if you do not put your faith in Jesus that you will live eternally without him in Hell. Whenever the bible speaks of fire, it is refering to God's judgement. When our bodies die, we either go to heaven or hell. Those who go to hell will suffer eternal torment over the choice that they made here in this life. It will be as if they are in prison for life, only life is forever and ever. When people commit crimes in the world, they spend their lives away from the rest of society in prison. This is torture for them. So, Hell will be a horrible, forever and ever separarion from the God who loves them and created them and also from his family of believers and his beautiful home in heaven. What do you think?

I wouldn't want to live in any other country but America. But, America has become a slave to the rest of the world economically. Especially China. Here's a scenerio for you. The husband and breadwinner of the family lost his job 2 months ago. He hasn't told his wife or family. He doesn't want them to know for fear of what they would say. So, he continues to act as if the money is in the bank every week. He still goes out to eat and purchases things they need and want using credit cards. Not just one card, but many of them. They soon are all maxed out. Eventually, they are coming after him for the money he owes, and he decides to take out a loan with a bank. The bank gives him the money, he repays some of his credit card debt, but it's not enough. He is still keeping up the charade with his wife and family, so he is still living it up as usual, and the debt is climbing. He needs to see a loan shark and the mob, and after he gets his money from them, he spends it on his charade. He can't pay back the loan shark or the mob. The problem is the loan shark ALWAYS gets his money one way or the other. This debt that America owes is unsustainable! If they don't STOP all the spending, we will lose everything to the rest of the world around us. Open your eyes and stop being sooooo blind to it. Of course we all want better medical care for less. But at what expense? Now, before the gov decides to start yet another financially failed program, let's do something about other options that wont COST us anything. I've named them all before. My question to you all is this: What has the governement done for you in the past that has given you such high and trusting regard for their word and deeds? The only thing that has changed in Washington is the face of the president. Their corruption, dishonesty, stealing and greed has not. They make laws for the good of the people they say, yet have a different and seperate set of laws for themselves. I don't trust a lick of them!

You're right I didn't vote for him. None the less, I still thought he was speaking about 'change' in the way Government needed it. (corruption, greed, lies, spending, pork projects, that kind of thing)

That sounds like our government system. Not willing to give up $taxing$ the people by eliminating waste and cutting spending no matter how financially indebted we become to to the rest of the world.

A friend emailed me this letter concerning Obama's trip to Montana. It is sickening to me all that he is doing to our once wonderful nation. Please read it and comment if you please. Hello All, By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Bill and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on. On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date. On about Tuesday, Bill found out that they would be holding the "Town Hall" at the airport. (This is only because Bill knows EVERYONE at the airport). Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you can not get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public. FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums). All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN. $$$$$ During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming, several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession. $$$$$ Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday, 9am at two locations, and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday. Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm......900 tickets just DISAPPEARED. This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think...with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for. On Friday, Bill and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama's spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal) and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd. The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them.....professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area) Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man. So, we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest. If you are wondering about the press... Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds. We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho . Speaking of the local media...they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn't want anyone to have to think off the top of their head. It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes...the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come. Smoke and mirrors...EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!! I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America , more like the USSR. I was physically nauseous. Bill and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress hear your voices again and again! If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in Washington DC. Scary. K. Bozeman , Montana

In the New Testament Jesus said I have not come to abolish the law, but to uphold it. He then goes on to explain the things that need to continue to be upheld. Homosexuality and adultry were there. People need to read all of the bible to get the overall truth.

Yes, I admit that I am not always able to find kind words to describe your posts or to debate your unkind words. One reason is because you think that your ideas are morally right. I disagree. I think your ideas generally are exclusionary, discriminative as well as small thinking and single minded. And furthermore, you're quite wrong about what we want for this country. YOUR God does not have the authority to tell people how to make this country function. YOUR interpretation of God is a God that would not treat people as Jesus instructed. And it is YOUR interpretation of GOD's will that people rebel against. Not God. And we do not seek to have a country where no one is required to answer to authority. We are a nation of laws. We need laws and we abide by the law. Some of the people you seem to agree with politically do not wish to abide by the laws of the land, and they justify that felonious attitude by saying it's what GOD wants. I'm going to call a major ahhhhh-bullshit-chooooo here. Pardon me. And you cannot divert attention away from your mean desires for this country by accusing us of not wanting to answer to authority. YOUR group of extremists are the ones who are not wanting to answer to governmental authority and the authority they supposedly answer to is a made up authority that they establish to suit their unholy needs. There is an end time coming that the bible speaks of. I could see what he says in the bible to be true simply by the way you talk. You sound like you could be one of those people who would feel justified in the persecution of the believers that will happen in the end. May God have mercy upon you.

How could you do that? He was extremely straightforward and open during his campaign. And he is being more open in his presidency than any presidents have been, that I know of. Really? During his campaign he talked about health care reform, but never once did he say his reform was for the government to run a health care insurance company for everyone. That's not what I call open and clear.

When Obama campaigned on 'change', most thought he meant a change in the way the government does things. We thought he meant he wanted to get rid of government corruption and deception and out of control spending and social programs and 'pork'. We thought he meant to 'change' the way the government tries to take control of us. We thought he meant to change the corruption in Congress. This is not what he meant by 'change'. He meant 'change' us from a free country to a socialistic one. We don't want that kind of change. We want to go back to what our founding Fathers set up and planned for this country.

You keep confusing 'heath care reform' with 'a government run health care insurance plan'. 2 Different things. Republicans want reform. Reform is a change in the way things are run. (Ins. companies, trial lawyers, medical professionals).We want reform, just not the kind that's being offered. You know, the government insurance option.

This is why I abhor 'organized' religions. You are right in what you say. This is why every individual needs to read what God has to say, and not believe what their higher authority in their churches have to say about things.There really is no excuse for anyone when they stand before him one day and say," I never knew what you had to say on these issues." For in America, the bible is available to all and we have the freedom to read it. As far as using the bible to support hate and discriminatory views, I believe that people need to take the bible at it's word, not their own word. How can these words be interpreted any differently? "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is detestable."(Lev.18:22) The whole chapter 18 is entitled 'Unlawful sexual relations'. A verse before it says, "Do not have sexual relations with your neighbors wife and defile yourself with her." The verse after it says, "Do not have sexual relations with an animal." There is NO way to misinterpret God's intent here. Sorry. But he says it is just as wrong as the sins of adultry or having sex with an animal.

I am glad that he is opening the books,but the criticism comes with the fact that he wouldn't be opening the books if it weren't for the threat of legal action from the American people.

I hear that Rhode Island lawmakers are pushing to criminalize indoor prostitution, saying it damages the states reputation. If it weren't a sinful thing to do, (prostitute oneself), then why would they believe their reputaion was being tarnished by allowing it to be lawful there? This country shouldn't make laws that go along with what the God of the bible teaches to be wrong. (rolling my eyes) Did you know that Nevada is the only other state that permits prostitution, and even there it's not legal in the 3 most populous counties.
