[quote} That is more important to them than any other single issue. They sometimes soft-pedal it so as to not scare people off, but it is what they live for... to see abortion made illegal again. If you saw the issue of abortion as the death of a baby that is caused at the hand of it's mother, you would understand some people who are against it and why. But, all you can see is the "rights" of the woman. You are blind to the 'rights" of the child. I understand that you don't believe that when it's in the womb, that it is a living being, only when it gets through that lovely birth canal can it now be deemed a human being, but some people don't agree with you. Some people don't like murder and feel that since babies can't protect themselves that adults should do it for them. If only you liberals could see the issue from the conservatives viewpoint, but I guess their viewpoint isn't worthy in your eyes. What a shame.

No offense taken. Your opinion of me stems from my views on many controversial issues alone. You don't know me personally, or see me in my home, church or community. Imagine if all that you knew of someone were their stand on the issues. You wouldn't really know them. But, I am one to try to speak only the truth in life. If I tell you that I pray for our president, and want him to suceed, I mean it. I can do that and still have a conflict of interest with him. You may not believe me, but I pray for everyone I talk with on these forums. I don't agree with them, but that doesn't keep me from asking God to bless them and show them his truths.

Some might argue that it isn’t fair to blame the president for the debt. I agree that congress is partly (or mostly) to blame; however, the president is responsible because of his ability to veto. And yes, he can line item veto – simply cross out the offending lines and veto the entire bill (with a note to congress that the bill will be signed after the offending lines are removed). Whether the fault is the president or congress, would honorable men (and women) vote (and sign) for such indebtedness? "The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously." Psalm 36:21 "Let no debt remain outstanding." Romans 13:8

The Outstanding Public Debt as of 17 Dec 2009 at 12:25:44 PM GMT is: The estimated population of the United States is 307,483,210 so each citizen's share of this debt is $39,485.60. So, shouldn't we STOP the spending?!

A 1947 Supreme Court decision that invented the modern "separation of church and state" and later decisions that outlawed Bible reading and prayer in the nation's public schools, is at fault for some of America's problems. Once God was shown the door, America went into chaos. Scholastic Aptitude Test scores plummeted. Violent crime rocketed upward. The abortion mills did an unprecedented business as they devised ever-more-sadistic ways to kill children before and even during birth. Bill Clinton, elected president of the United States in 1992, aggressively advocated homosexuality, which God calls "abomination."

One reason for the multitude of attacks on Christianity is that evil always attacks good – because it is good – because good shines a bright and painful light on the works of darkness. Jesus Himself warned His followers to expect to be persecuted, just as He was persecuted. This is the reason, and a profound one, that Christians offer to explain why they, their values and their institutions are always under attack.

You may think that my posts prove that I am all the things you call me, and that's okay with me if that's what you think. We are just sooooo very far apart in our view on things. I am a Christian, and believe that the bible has the answers that are correct. If others are hardened to Christianity because they hear the truth about it through some of my posts, and don't like what God says on issues, that is their decision. (No. I don't think I'm God, I just know what he says and can share it) I'm not embarrassed by the word of God, and I'm not afraid to tell it as it says for fear of being "anti" people or for fear that some might grow to hate me because I have revealed how God feels on certain controversial issues. I am considered a bigot and a hater because I stand with my God on homosexuality and abortion? Oh well, then I'm a hater along with Him, then. I'd rather have you think that I am a hater than to call my God a liar by disagreeing with Him. Why do you think it is that most conservatives are Christians? It's because if you read your bible and believe it to be true, you can't help but come away from it with a conservative viewpoint. If you have a typical liberal viewpoint, you have not read it , or if you did, you didn't want to believe what it said. When you are debating things like liberals vs, conservatives views, you have to expect that the opposing view is not going to agree with yours. (even if my views are based on the bible and what's in there.) I think that liberals, like yourself and others posting here, are angered by some of the things that I say not because of me and my personal stand on the issues, but because every man knows in his heart that God is real, yet if he chooses to privately or openly acknowledge this fact, then he will need to be held accountable to him and submit to his truths, and some of his truths that he reveals in his word to us contradict their own viewpoints. So, to admit that God is real would mean they would have to change, and their not willing to do that. so, they prefer to stay blind and live and think the way they have decided is right, rather than believe Him. Believe me, People who don't believe in the God of Christianity, (Jesus). are already turned off to Christianity and don't need me to post here to get turned off. They have their liberal view points instilled in their hearts and believe them to be correct (according to the God of 'self 'that they worship), and if it feels good and seems good according to themselves, do it. Now, let's not go the all or nothing route again. Not every issue they're wrong on, but most of them contradict God's word. You said this: I'd think that you are the poster child for anti-Christian dogma. please tell me what anti- christian dogma I have posted, so that I may defend myself. And how has what I've posted influenced you to distrust Christians?

as usual, my point is oblivious to you. I mentioned the name calling because you like to say that I am disrespectful towards anyone with opposing views to mine when I post something someone else wrote about liberals, yet you , and others here are disrespectful to me with the name calling with just about every post , and think NOTHING of it. hypocrites. It's perfectly okay when you all do it, but it's demeaning when I do it . Well, if you want respect, maybe you should give it more.

If a conservative is a believer, he wants to enact laws to make everyone abide by his beliefs. Did any conservative ever tell you that you must worship Jesus and him alone, or try to enforce it through our laws? I dare say not. If a conservative doesn't like certain types of music or literature, he forms a group to censor it. No we don't. we just try to protect our children from the likes of liberals who feel that "let me f--- your mother and your sister, too La La La is acceptable. If a conservative doesn't like drugs, he passes laws prohibiting what you can and cannot put in your body. No. we keep drugs illegal because they alter your brain function and when a person's mind is crazy, they do stupid crap like get in a car and drive or remove their clothing or hurt others. If a conservative is a homosexual, he must hide his identity lest he shunned by his peers. Not true. Homosexuality is a sexual act that the person has a choice to participate in or not. No one holds a gun to a homosexuals head and says ,"do this." Conservatives love all people, they just hate their sin. If a conservative thinks he knows what is best for a womans reproduction, he will fight for laws to control it. No. if a conservative knows what's right for an innocent baby they will fight to protect it's life. If a conservative wants to bring pork home to his state, he does, just to a slightly lesser degree than his democrat counterparts At least he doesn't over consume, like the democrat does with everything.

A History Lesson (just a joke, liberals, don't get too upset) Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: 1. Liberals; and 2. Conservatives. Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement. Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girliemen. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided. Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat. Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

I found this on line. After reading it and having a good chuckle, I realized that some of these are much truer than most people realize. It sort of defines the core differences of the conservative being independent and the liberal being dependent – mostly on the Gov’t. I guess it comes down to liberals feeling inadequate and wanting someone to provide for them or someone to make their life easier. Or maybe they are feeling sorry for some other person (guilty about their own success maybe?) and wanting someone to help that person instead of extending their own hand in assistance. Anyway, if you are liberal, are you offended by the comparison below? Do you see any truth in it? If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed. If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone. If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good. If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect. If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection. If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down. If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!) If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his. If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed. If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues. If a conservative reads this, he’ll have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

Oh?, that seems to be all you are tooting your horn about on this board. What exactly are you talking about? Ohhhh, so you prefer being told what you can and cannot have by the big insurance industy? By your insurance company. You have that now. Doesn't the insurance company tell you what surgery you can and cannot have now? Ohhhhh, but since it might be the government, and I am not saying it is, then it's bad? Because it's the big bad, government. Pleeeease. Don't they control your life and many aspects of it now? And if I don't like my policy with my ins. co., I can go somewhere else. With the public option plan, the gov. will end up being my ONLY option. How is that for choice? They DO control many aspects of our lives right now, you're correct. I, and many others, are seeing it more and more and don't want them to have any more control. With them overseeing our health care, they assume a much greater control than many of the things they already do now.

No. I care about everyone. Jesus said," The poor you will have with you always." This is just life. It's not like the government can get into the business of saving the world. It's not the money that's the problem, although it is a serious problem , it's the government control of the HC decision making that bothers most people. It's the government taking on yet another fraction, a large one at that, of control over society. If you are soooo concerned over these 15,000 people who have no insurance, (yet have not rallied your support to end the 440,000 deaths annually from cigarette smoking) then it would be enormously cheaper to just purchase ins. for them, or allow them to get on medicaid or medicare, which is a gov. run insurance that's already instated. 85% of Americans are satisfied with their insurance plan. Why wreck or transform an already good thing we have going here for the sake of a fraction of the country. Do something for the fraction if they want, but leave the rest of us alone.

Bet you're sorry you voted for Obama now

There comes a time when all that sh-- will hit the fan. You can't keep on spending and believe that it won't affect America. Imagine you owe $200,000. in personal debt. You keep charging because you understand that your never going to be able to pay that off, so what's another $50.00 added to it. Then one day, they come and take the only place you have to live. Your house. That will be America.

While the economy was shedding more than 4 million jobs this year, the Obama administration claims the stimulus was creating 640,329 at a cost of only $157.8 billion. But based on the administration's numbers, each alleged job cost $246,000, or about 6X the average U.S. per-capita income. If the administration had simply given the money to businesses, they could have funded 640,329 jobs for six years, and those employees actually would have produced goods or provided services that would have boosted the economy and federal tax receipts.

The great objective must be to restore a relationship between the public's income and the income of the government, its employees, its vendors and its dependents, to wrest control of the government from those who vote for a living and give it back to those who work for one. Did you know that government employees make on average 5x more than the average American worker? They need to start dictating cost cuts to everyone receiving federal funds and paychecks while insisting that they provide the same level of service or be replaced. The question is not whether anything can be done, but whether the political will exist to prevent society from collapsing under the weightof the government.

If it's not a 'need' then it should be tossed! Unless of course there is plenty of money in the funds, your living on a surplus, and all the bills are paid. Even then, any tax money that is not needed should be returned to the people. We pay too much as it is. But where do you find a town, city or state with all their bills paid and extra money in the pot? It's rare. The mentality of the liberal fanatic is to spend more than you have every time! Even if you have ten playgrounds in your town already, let's add one more. We can borrow the money.

440,000 people die annually from cigarette smoking, and the solution to it is very easy. Outlaw it like they do other things. That is 9X more than those without health insurance, yet noone gives a crap about those people who die. Absolutely NOTHING is being done about it. They force us to wear our seatbelts in the car, but they can't take away the cigs? And what about alcohol related deaths annually? There are so many people who die in the country from all sorts of things, that doesn't mean that the national government needs to make sure that these deaths don't happen. It doesn't mean that the feds need to take on the problem. To take on all that responsibility would be impossible. The national government was not created for these reasons.
