  1. This is not a secular democracy. 85% of all the people who live in the country you live in form their opinions on issues based on their faith. The Christian faith. They believe in a God and therefore the words that he has given us. You, OTOH, should discuss the issue according to the majority. My debates on controversial issues will always be in light of what God has said on the subjscts because that is where I get my knowledge of what is 'right' and 'wrong'. I can not be swayed. I have a foundation and a basis for the way I think on issues, you do not. You come up with your own theory of what you 'feel' is right or wrong. You are your own God.

Why do liberals Hate Sarah Palin?

By posting this bloggers opinion of Christians, and through other things you have said by about us, I assume you are in agreement with his opinions. All I can say to you is that one day, you will be faced to answer to your Creator for your opinions and thoughts concerning his family, and his word. It certainly is your choice to think any way you want about us.

I agree. It is too bad that some preach against the very things they participate in themselves. It just goes to show you mankinds great need for the Savior. We're just NOT ABLE to be righteous. But to label all Christians hypocrits because some preach against what they don't live is like saying all the muslims are terrorists. Not true.

Why do liberals Hate Sarah Palin?

You have a lot to learn about God. He didn't send his Son to this Earth to save the sinless, but the sinners. (And there are NONE who are sinless) So, to say that they are hypocrites is blatantly wrong. There is not ONE Christian who doesn't sin or says he doesn't. They are human beings just like everyone else who doesn't believe in God. There is only ONE difference between those who believe and call themselves Christians, and those who don't believe in God, and that is: their souls destination after this life is over. Christians do not proclaim to be 'above' others where morals are concerned. They do wrong as others do, maybe even more so. Depends. But most Christians, as they walk through this life and grow in the knowledge of God and spiritual things, mature and tend to 'try' to keep their lives pure. This is all God asks of his children. When they fail, and they will, they have His forgiveness. Unbelievers ,OTOH, do not have a place in Heaven with their Creator, because they refuse to acknowledge Him now.

I don't agree. The majority of Christians have the same thinking that I do. They may not be as bold to voice their opinions as I do, they think the same way, believe me. I don't believe that I am judgemental, narrow minded or simplistic. I just try to mold my opinions and views according to God's ways. If that makes me "extreme" then so be it. I'd rather be 'extreme' and in God's family and siding with him on issues than 'extreme' the other way.

Why do liberals Hate Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin did not have an affair or a child out of wedlock. FYI, christians may be 'saved' through the shed blood of Jesus, but we are NOT sinless. I do believe that we have a foundation of the word of God to guide us in what is right and wrong, though. Which is very important when you are in politics and making moral decisions for the people you represent. Also, FOX is the #1 watched news station in America. More people watch that station then all 3 or 4 liberal, democratic, agenda run news stations put together. That tells us that they are in agreement with the stand that FOX holds. You, sir, are a minority in this country. Do you really think that your way of thinking concerning politics is the 'right' and 'most held' view? You are wrong. The American people are fed up with those who think the way you do. Just take a look at the close race in the Democratic run State of MA. Republicans are going to finally have a say in that state because the people are fed up with democrats and their Tax and Spend policies. They are fed up with their goal of socialism.

I know that most of you here debate with me and it seems that I am the lone ranger on the way that I think politics, but, did you know that FOX news has more viewers than the other 3 liberal news stations put together. This tells me that there are more who agree with their stand on the issues than the other stations. When I turn on the TV and listen to CNN or MSNBC, I get disgusted with the commentator and his left winged liberal take on the issue at hand. I turn to FOX and find myself in agreement with what they are saying. This is why they have more viewers than the other stations. You obviously don't turn to FOX because you don't agree with their stand on the issues. Since you don't, you are in the minority in the way that you think concerning politics. I am NOT the one whose thinking is 'skewed' (bjean's word), it is YOU!

You don't really think that that's the way things are going to go, do you? Just look at how close the Mass. race is going right now. Thee most liberal state in the country and the reps. lead by 2 points. In the past, that was never to even be anticipated in that state. The people want their reps to actually represent them, not themsleves and congress and the WH and what they want. That tells me that there are more people who think the way I do than the way you do about HC. Can you believe Martha Coakley telling the people that there are no terrorists in Afghanistan? Wow! Where has she been? Tell that to the last 12 soldier's families that just died over there from their attacks against them! Also, that's NOT kennedy's seat that they are replacing. That's the people of Mass.'s seat. The nerve of Dems to think it 'belongs' to them. More urgently, a Brown win would give Republicans 41 seats in the Senate and the ability to block Obama's health-care initiative and much of the Democrats' 2010 congressional agenda. Strategists on both sides concede that a Brown victory would drastically reshape the calculus of the health-care debate, which is now in its final stages. A valiant, close loss counts as a win because it will be a sign of deep discontent with Democratic policies even in MA, a highly democratic state.

Bet you're sorry you voted for Obama now

You obviously didn't believe what they said about you, and neither do I believe what you extremists say about me.
  10. The poor fetus/embryo. He actually can only rely on one person (it's own mother) to take care of it. The ONE person in your life that you should be able to rely and depend on. How sad. My point was that it is a life whether it is 1 day in the womb, one month in the womb, 8 months in the womb, 2 months out of the womb, or 1 year out of the womb: and at every stage is relying on someone else to make it's developing body grow.
  11. Carrie, r.equal is actually the first person that I've ever heard of who doesn't regret their abortion. I know many more people than those I mentioned already who have had one. It is a common procedure.
  12. Christian ethics teach that in God’s Church mercy goes before right. A Christian is called to have as the ideal to live in reconciliation, forgiveness and love with their fellow men, even their enemies. According to Christian ethics judgement, revenge and retaliation is not allowed between people in everyday life. But the rules are different for the authority. The heavenly ideal that the Christian Church is to strive for is not decided by God to be placed in earthly nations codes of law in order for violent criminals and murderers to receive mercy and avoid just punishment. If this happened, it would be suicide of the state governed by law.
  13. No contradiction at all. It is mainly through the governing authorities that God imposes the death penalty. And it is not the authorities that Jesus is representing at this time. It is only himself as the forgiving Saviour. Therefore the event is not an example of how a legal state is supposed to act. Jesus himself never put on the robes of the authority and he never walked around and sentenced people to different punishments. If he had dressed in the judge’s robe right there and then he would have had to, in the name of justice, also sentence the others to death. But to sentence sinners to death was not part of Jesus’ mission on earth. It is not possible to use the principle "If any of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone" (v.7) within the judicial system. Since neither judge nor juror is without guilt, trials in themselves would become impossible and no sentences could be imposed. The principle is a good rule to live by, but Jesus did not intend for his words in this context to be included in the judicial system.
  14. {QUOTE] An appendix is alive as is a tumor, however neither of them are capable of existing independently from the host, neither is the fetus less than 3 months post conception. Neither is a 2 month old baby that lies on a bed capable of existing independantly without it's mom. (the host) Doesn't mean we have a right to kill him.
  15. I believe that I am in a position to state what I think and know about women who have had abortions because I have heard testimony after testimony from women who have had them and are regretting it and feeling guilty about it. Some right away and others down the road after the fact. I also have a niece who had an abortion at age 18 and is very remorseful over it. My best friend had on when she was younger and wishes she could go back and change her decision. Also, my sister-in-law, who can never have children now, had 3 of them in the early stages of her relationship with my brother-in-law. Then she found out, when she was ready to have them, that she couldn't now for whatever reason. She regrets aborting the 3 that God gave her, cause now she is childless. My own mother gaot pregnant when my youngest brother was 13, and she had an abortion. She, too, regrets it and feels guilt over it still, and that was 30 years ago. So, I believe that I can speak for the many, many people that I know who have had abortions.
  16. I am not against any birth control that does not destroy the baby. Once the sperm meets the egg, it becomes a life. If there is a birth control that stops the egg from meeting the sperm, it should be used. If it destroys the egg and sperm together after they met, then it should be banned. I am against public funded sex education because some of what they teach is not acceptable to me. They may teach about birth control that can kill the baby. They may encourage abortion as a choice a pregnant woman can have. They don't teach abstinance until marriage. But most of all, this issue is for the parents to teach to their children, not the schools. I have always felt that schools should keep to teaching academics only. This is another example of where the gov. takes on the responsibility of the people to do what is expected of them. If the parents knew that their children were not going to learn about sex in school, they would then have to be the ones to teach them about it. But because they think they'll just learn about it in school, they don't ever bring the subject up with them. The government, once again, enabling parents to not be responsible for their own childs sex education. Just like they enable people to be dependant on them for many other things in life that they should take care of themselves.
  17. One big difference between abortion killing and capital punishment killing is that one is innocent killing and the other is guilty, deserving killing.
  18. The death penalty shows us that God cares for us ordinary people, that He wants to protect us and that He wants us all well. Without order and without punishment we would only be creatures lacking responsibility that could do whatever we wanted to each other without being held responsible for anything. We would then live in a world that did not have any morals or ethics. Our value and our dignity would be nonexistent. We would be like animals. It is the order of things and the punishments that proves to us that God values us humans as something. If we were nothing God would not have to care for us. But now God so loves mankind and therefore the capital punishment exists as a defence, as a confirmation, as recognition of the high dignity and value of mankind. The death penalty, more than anything else, confirms that we are moral beings and as a consequence of that we can be held responsible for our actions. Genesis 9:6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man." These words are spoken by God. The verse does not only express an permission, but it is a command. It is the first commandment of the Bible that has a common legal character. We find in this verse a "law" draped in a poetic costume that is the basis for all coming laws concerning the capital punishment. It is a foundational principle. And it is interesting to see that the first edict of a legal character is concerning the death penalty. God wants the death penalty for murderers and the reason is clearly declared: "for in the image of God has God made man. One who murders destroys the "image of God" in a fellow man and thereby commits an indirect attack on God himself. This was not an OT concept that should be abandoned today. Luke 23:41 "We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." These words were spoken by one of the criminals who were hanging on a cross next to Jesus. The scripture clearly testifies of the legal conscience that people during all times have had. A death-sentenced criminal confesses that the flogging and the death sentence that was imposed on him were "just". And not only that, he himself felt that he "deserved" death.

Prisoners get alot of things that they don't work for, doesn't make it okay. Prisoners get TVs as well, does that make it their "right"? We pay for 'everything' that prisoners get. Their heat, their food, their laundry, their cable, their medical care, their hair cuts, etc. Does the government pay for all that for you? No. Because it's not their job to do that. That's your job.
