Why do liberals Hate Sarah Palin?

You liberals can't find anything substantial to base your hatred of the woman on, because there is nothing, so you need to elaborate extensively on a few notes she scribbled on her hand at the last minute to remember to touch on those subjects? How petty! I have done that when I was giving a talk for a womans group once. I didn't want to neglect to say something about someone who would be there and wrote it on my hand to remind myself. So what. At least she doesn't read word for word off a telepromptor as Obama does. What you are doing with her is hypocritical. When the conservatives went on and on about Obama's mis-pronunciation of 'corpsman', liberals called it petty. They said reps were just picking on "everything" he does and finding fault with him. Let's face it, it's hypocritical and childish.

You seem to "need" to accentuate your reasoning for those who oppose your precious Obama's policies. Which is: "we "hate" him". Well, just like you've said so many times before: "Just say it enough, and you'll believe it." Could it possibly be because he is such a liar and a fake and an inexperienced individual with great speaking skills? He calls it a 'jobs' bill. Why doesn't he just call it what it really is: Another stimulus spending spree! He calls it a 'jobs' bill cause he thinks we are so stupid that we wouldn't be able to see it for what it really is. This infuriates the people when someone insults their intelligence. My state got plenty of stimulus funds. The city of Waterbury, which is the next city over from where I live, is purchasing $64 million dollars worth of fleet city buses with some of the money. There buses are 12 years old, and they could use some new ones they say. Well, buying some buses didn't create ONE job!!!!! And, why should the people in Idaho have to pay for new buses in CT? If a city in CT needs buses, then they should raise the funds and purchase them. The federal government should not be spending "jobs" money on buses. This is just one example of the waste that these stupid bills are promoting. Wouldn't it have been better to have opened a private business of some kind that could employ 10-15 people for the next 64 years at a million dollars a year in salaries for them? The $64 million dollars wasted on some buses for the city of Waterbury where the people don't use bus transportation much. I know. I've seen the buses and the people who ride them. Sometimes there is only one or two people on a bus, if that. Talk about wasteful spending! And if it's happening in my state, you can be sure it's happening in every state. The last stimulus giveaway only brought the unemployment rate up higher.
  3. Debbie, A relationship with God is soooo simple, but even man has to complicate that with his "organizing" of it. Religion is simply man trying to reach God through what he believes is "Thee right way". Why do you think the Christian faith has so many different denominations? We just can't get it 'right'. This one feels you shouldn't wear pants, and that one feels that once you're saved, you can't lose it, etc. But, the truth is that you don't 'need' to follow all those rules and regulations to know your Creator. We can't follow the rules anyway. He said so. Thus, the reason for Jesus. Think about all the other religions that are out there. Only the Christians can claim that their God has given His life for His children. Now that's love! Did Buddah die for me? No. You say you grew up in church. I brought my children up in church also. I had 10. A couple of them believe as you do, they're not sure if God exists or not. Sometimes man tries to do what he thinks is best and teachers will tell you things that can be confusing. My only answer to it all is to not rely on what any man says about God, but to read it for yourself and ask God to reveal himself to you. Try to erase all that you have been taught and start from the beginning of God's word, the bible. If what you have been taught lines up with what God says, keep it, and if it doesn't, toss it. When you read the bible, pray first, and ask God to speak to you through his words and help you to understand. It is a fascinating book. In it, He says that those who seek him shall find him.

It is true that we want the moral issues that arise in congress to be passed as laws to be alined with what is 'right' and 'good' and to reflect what God would say is right and good. What I don't get is why liberals don't want our laws to reflect what is 'good'. The only reason I can come up with is because they are blinded by their own sin, and can not 'see' what is right. They want to do the wrong deeds that they do and they don't want the laws to forbid them from doing them. As far as helping the poor, you are wrong about that. We help the poor all the time. We conservatives and Christians are among the top givers to the poor and the helpless. We just don't want the government to do our giving for us. It is okay to help people who are in a hard place "temporarily". But, we don't like the way our government is growing and is now getting out of hand with the spending and give aways. It's one thing to 'give' when you have the money to give, it's quite another when you are bankrupt. I believe God would say "Get yourself out of the financial hole first." I think this way because he exhorts us to be good stewards of our time, money, and talents.
  5. This is the post I was refering to. When she said there are alot of corporations who receive overpayments for their services, I didn't think she was talking about government run corporations, but private ones. (The government runs those that we bailed out because they are financed with our tax dollars) Since she was refering to private corporations, I wanted to know why it bothers her what their employers pay their employees. So what if it is an overpayment in your opinion. They can pay their employees as much as they want.
  6. you still do not hear me. I agree with you that the banks who received help from the taxpayers should not be giving high bonuses to their employees UNLESS they have already paid us back. Then they can do as they please and hand out high paychecks to whoever they want. The private businesses, whether large or small should be able to decide whatever they want about what to pay their employees. This is their business. Maybe you weren't hearing me cause you're not used to me being in agreement with you on anything, but go nback and read my post. I even underlined it. I said this: If they (meaning private businesses) can afford to be generous, then why does it bother you? If the government is doing that with our money, (meaning giving high bonuses)then we have a right to complain, but private businesses should be allowed to grow and prosper at their own will.

Are you deaf? When it was proposed, it was a good idea. NOW it's not! The economy has worsened and unemployment has risen and it is CRAZY to consider taxing and spending and not cutting the buget. Why should they even talk ata commission meeting? Dems want to tax and not cut spending. Reps want to cut taxes and stop spending. Which party makes more sense in this economy? As for the tax increases: It goes without saying that if you are not going to cut expenses and and you're going to spend more, then you will have to get the money somewhere. Where does the government get their funds? Taxes.
  8. You only hear what you want to hear. I said if the government is supporting the corp. then we have room to complain. But if it's not, and it's private corp. doing that, then you need to MYOB. Read what I underlined again.
  9. He said this: That's why I urge the Senate to follow the House and pass a bill that will revitalize our community colleges, which are a career pathway to the children of so many working families. To make college more affordable, this bill will finally end the unwarranted taxpayer subsidies that go to banks for student loans. Instead, let's take that money and give families a $10,000 tax credit for four years of college and increase Pell Grants. And let's tell another one million students that when they graduate, they will be required to pay only 10 percent of their income on student loans, and all of their debt will be forgiven after 20 years –- and forgiven after 10 years if they choose a career in public service, because in the United States of America, no one should go broke because they chose to go to college. [end quote] So, he will 'forgive' your college debt. (if you get a job as a public servant.) What's that? A government job. This will only enforce MORE people to work for the government. We can't afford to pay for all the government employees and the outstanding benefits and pension plans we have right now, never mind paying for their college loans as well!!! did you klnow that the average government job receives 2-6X more than the average Joe job doing the same work? They will only have to pay 10% of their income on the loans the gov. gives them for college. Well, what if they aren't working? They don't have to pay it back? 10% of nothing is ...nothing. Then after 20 years, if it's not repaid? Oh well, no problem. Your loan is forgiven. But not to worry. You are dependant on the government to work for them. You are their slave now. I especially liked his last line. "because in the United States of America, no one should go broke because they chose to go to college." Please. How is going to college going to break you? ALL my kids have gone to the community college and NONE of them are broke. One went to trade school and has a loan that he easily repays at $94.00 a month. The other 2 are paying as they go along. It's only $3200. a year. (61./month) If you can't afford a state school, there are always other options. The problem lies with those who don't have the money to go to the IVY league school that they desire to attend and then are not willing to settle for a community college or trade school. After you are working in your trade, THEN you can afford to save some for a better education at the school of your choice. The problem with society is they want what they want and they want it NOW. Oh well, we have the government. No need to wait till you are better able to afford your schooling. No need to just go to a community college when the gov. will pay for Harvard or Yale. AND they will 'forgive' your debt after 10 years if you work for them.
  10. He also said this: We will continue to go through the budget, line by line, page by page, to eliminate programs that we can't afford and don't work. Now, doesn't that have a familiar ring? He gave this promise as a candidate and has yet to stand by it. What makes him or you think that anyone will believe him now?
  11. Obama said this: Starting in 2011, we are prepared to freeze government spending for three years. Spending related to our national security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will not be affected. But all other discretionary government programs will. Like any cash-strapped family, we will work within a budget to invest in what we need and sacrifice what we don't. And if I have to enforce this discipline by veto, I will. "Like any cash strapped family"...... Well, I ask you, does a cash strapped family wait until next year to stop their spending? No, they do it NOW! Or they get deeper into debt and announce bankruptcy.
  12. Did you listen to the state of the union adress from Obama and hear all about the spending he is planning? He gave some wonderful talks about all that his administration is going to do for America. But, "HOW IS HE GOING TO PAY FOR IT ALL???" Then he said he was going to put a spending freeze on government programs, BUT not till 2011. WHY wait???? STOP spending now! Do you know what his idea for a spending freeze is? less than 1/2 of 1 percent of the budget. WOW! Gee thanks, Obama.
  13. I agree that there are many private corp. that overpay their employees, but what's that to you or anyone else? Why should it bother you that someone wants to pay their employee a large sum for the work they do? If they can afford to be generous, then why does it bother you? If the government is doing that with our money, then we have a right to compalin, but private businesses should be allowed to grow and prosper at their own will. This is called free enterprise and it's what makes this the greatest country to live in. Matthew 20:1-16 "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard. "About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. He told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.' So they went. "He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing. About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?'" 'Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.' 8"When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.' "The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius. So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. 11When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 'These men who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.' "But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?' "So the last will be first, and the first will be last." I understand the spiritual teaching of this parable, but it can also apply to the idea that if a man agrees to work for a certain sum of money and is paid it, and you agree to work for a certain sum of money and is paid it, then isn't it what you agreed upon? We should not be envious of those who make alot of money and we feel they don't deserve it.

I understand that it was a commisssion, composed of both parties, to investigate how to lower the deficit. I didn't say that it was a commission to impose taxes. Now, Both parties ideas were known. But in order to come to any agreement and meet in the middle, dems would have to accept budget cuts, and reps would have to accept increased taxes. Here's the part you don't seem to get... Why should the reps have a commission on how to lower the deficit with democrats who want to increase the taxes on people who are in a state of economic ruin due to the job losses this recession has brought and they are not willing to cut budget spending? It is stupid to raise the american peoples taxes at this time, AND it is stupid NOT to cut budget spending. This commission would accomplish nothing! You can't raise taxes now, and you need to stop the spending. If the reps went into this commission and compromised with the dems on either of those two things, it would be financial ruin for the country. Dems want to tax and spend. Both are detrimental to our economy right now! Reps want to stop spending and taxing. This is the better option.
  15. I believe that our government already does help the poor in many ways. We do not need to continue to add to what is already freely given to the people. Enough already. I am not advocating removing ALL welfare and aid to the poor. I am advocating ENOUGH!!! I want to see an end to many more programs being established. We already have enough. We can not afford the ones we have. Do you not see down the road at all? Money does not grow on trees. Although our government's solution to the money shortage is "just print some more." I can't understand why it is so hard for you to see that there needs to be a balance. Liberals love to spend money. Other peoples money. When people are stressed out over job losses and the economy is tanking, what don't you liberals get about slashing and cutting the spending to save us from drowning in our debt??!!
  16. This is a good scripture to teach that we need to be obedient to government and pay our taxes. It does not teach, however, that the government is always right in their governing. I am a true believer in paying my taxes, and always will do that. But, what the government does with the money is another story. Let me be clear, although I have said this before, but maybe you didn't read it, I am not anti-government. I am anti BIG government and ant-spending unless it is an 'absolute' need. We must ask a few questions every time we dole out a check for something. "Is this absolutely detrimental to our needs? Can we do without this? If we didn't purchase this material thing, would we cease to exist?" I am opposed to all the wasteful spending and programs that enforce dependancy of the people on the giver. I am opposed to the federal gov. purchasing a park in Florida for 2.4 million dollars because the kids there have no where to play, at a time when the unemployment rate is above 10% and our national debt is over the top of the roof. States should fund their own pet projects, and federal government should not give them the finances to do it. Why should I pay for a bridge in Kansas, when I live in CT? If kansas wants a bridge, they should collect the funds from their own residents there. I believe the gov. should be there to protect us and take care of our saftey. I have no problem with paying taxes. My problem lies with where the tax money is wasted and abused.

I did answer the question. When this bill was proposed, at the beginning of Obama's administartion, It seemed a good thing. But NOW it stands to reason that to impose taxes on the already financially suffering and jobless Americans would be stupid and ridiculous. BUT, to impose spending cuts would be wise. What don't you see about the logic in that? They were for it at one time, but as the economy got worse instead of better, and the people are complaining about being unemployed and the horrific spending the administration is doing, it would not be wise to negotiate with you spendthrifts. My question to you is why wasn't Obama "all for it" before now? You know, before the economy sank into unemployment rates above 10%?
  18. So does my money. So what. All money goes back into the community, therefore, that does not make a good arguement for supporting people with welfare.

My point is that people who voted for Obama were not informed of his lack of experience and his true agenda. They just wanted a black person to be able to achieve the high goal of becoming president of the United States. BTW, When you posted your video about McCain voters, you criticized the stupidity of their voters as if they were all that dumb. That was wrong, and I used this video of Obama voters to point that out as well as prove my point, which is that they just wanted a black person. ANY black person would have served the purpose.

That is the only verse that you could pull out of that Ministers letter and quote me on? Well, I am not interested in returning to those days either. But that was not what he was advocating. He was pointing out that free handouts do NOT 'help' anyone, they enable them to be dependant on the giver, in this case, the government. What is so wrong with family taking on the responsibility of helping each other anyway? I think it's a good idea. If there is no family, then they should get help. If people knew ahead of time that the rule was "if you need assistance, turn to your closest relative." and they would be liable to help you out, they would encourage each other to work and take care of themselves.

Just how long does Obama need to be in office before you will give any of the blame to him for what he is doing? I have heard from Obama a illion times How he is cleaning up someone elses mess. Is he going to clean up his own messes, or will he leave that for the next president in 2012?:smile2:
