i'm with you on this. What a mess our country would be in if he got in there. God help us all. But remember, the people will get the leaders that they desire, and the consequences of their choices. It is written in the bible that times will get worse before the end, not better. On another note, it is interesting that you homeschool your children beacause I do also. What grades are they in and how many do you have? Do you use a particular curriculum or do you make yours up? Just curious.

we have been foster parents for over 23 years and we raised 2 girls and 1 boy through adulthood. They are in their early 20's and they still live with us. My husband and I had 7 children together as well. So, you see, we do care for the unwanted children out there. There's a reason why God commands that you get married, stay married and have no sex outside of marriage. His plan is always best. If everyone lived by it we wouldn't even need to have these conversations!

I have grown up to respect people as well, but i dont always respect their choices. And to answer your question, Yes, I have people that I love who are gay. My sister and my nephew are both gay. I love them very much. No, I dont tell them to their faces that they shouldn't live that way. They know how God feels about this sin, and that is between them and God. We all have a right to do as we please (and we will answer to God for or decisions in this life), but I choose to pick a president who I believe will abide by Gods laws (at least some of them). I don't think Obama will even pray for gudance each morning before he starts his day as president. At least I believe Sara Palin will and could be an influence in the White House to make sure the Leaders begin each day with prayer. You are right when you say no one sin is greater than the other and we all sin. This is true, and we can all be forgiven for them if we ask for it, but when we outright have acceptance for the sins of mankind, and allow these sins to be part of our Nation by voting for candidates who will support these sins, then we are sinning and now we have to answer to God for it. You say that if you made over $250,000 you would be happy to be taxed more? Wouldn't you rather put your wealth where you see fit? Why should the gov. take your money to give to whom they choose? Like McCain said, " Paying teachers more doesn't solve the problem of education." Some of the highest paid teachers have the worst academic problems. Also, I'm not a patronage of my political party, and i'm not just voting Republican to do so. Whichever candidate were to me the most moral or had the highest Character qualitys would get my vote. Character is VERY important. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." If everyone lived by this one rule, there wouldn't be ANY problems in the world! (and by the way, this is another one of God's rules) It's funny how people will pick and choose the laws of God that they will follow.

Hi, I'm jumping in on this chat, and i haven't read all the back threads, but the topic ? interested me. I am voting for mcCain because between the two we have to choose from, He is the one who values life. If you think that it is ok to kill a living human being in the womb, what make me think you care at all about preschoolers and their education or Joe the plumber? Obama supports abortion choice, and did not vote against partial birth abortions either. And all he talks about is $pending more money. $pend! $pend! $pend! Where is he going to get the money to give teachers higher pay? He wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. Like he said, Exxon has plenty. Whatever happened to free enterprise? I'm not rich by any means, but if you go to school, sacrifice, work hard, and become successful, why should you have to pay more? Taxes should be equal around the board for everyone. He says for every new program he starts, he will make sure he ends one that is useless. How does that save us money? Instead he should end all the useless, costly programs and not start up any new ones. (look at all the money he spent on his campaign! it's sickening!) McCain knows how to save us money. He has experience with that. Spending freezes and eliminating programs is a priority! I know how to budget my family income. If I had a housecleaner coming once a week and could no longer afford her, I would fire her before I went out and got a second job to pay her salary. I might have to stop eating out so much and get rid of cable. (it's not a NEED, it's a WANT) Any Jerk can budget their spending, but their moral character is what I feel really matters. Sara Palin is a woman with good, clean virtue. She is a wife and mother and a governor and she is a Christian woman with high moral standards that I can respect.These are the kinds of people I want at the White House. Believe me, neither of those 2 candidates were my pick (I wanted Huckabee) but we have to choose the lesser of the two evils. They both lie concerning their promises, (They want to get elected!) So, let's choose the ones who feel that marriage should be between one man and one woman and the ones who feel unborn human lives are worth saving.(at least they have some form of moral code.)

We pass laws that govern infants all the time even if the laws effect the parents.(host) We expect parents to not be abusive or neglectful, etc. Why do you have to be an independant human being before you get any rights? go ahead and leave a 5 month old alone in a home for a week and see if he lives. He's totally dependant on his mother.( does that mean we can kill him because he's not independant?) And as far as it being a mothers 'constitutional right', show me in the constitution where it says she has that right! It doesn't! So that blows that out of the water! And who said an unborn babies rights are more important than it's mothers? They should have EQUAL rights. As far as intruding goes, If you were 1 month old and your mom left you somewhere to die, you would be thankful for my intrusion if I rescued you, and the governments intrusion in making sure that you could be safe!(the government IS the people) What are my beliefs that are different than any other womans? That an unborn baby is alive? Well, this is everybody's belief because it has been proven scientifically, and we have ultrasounds today. Or is it my belief that abortion should be illegal? Yes, it should be illegal because in this country, we ALL have equal rights(One if them is the right of protection) and just because you're dependant on someone else in order to sustain life (just like 1, 2, 3 and 4 month olds are) doesn't mean you don't qualify for protection. It should be your right.

once again it all boils down to is a 'fetus' a life ? it's funny how pro choicers refer to the baby in the womb as a fetus and not a baby. By using this word, you downplay the life that's inside you. But the 'fetus' is ALIVE! and there are more men pro lifers probably becaus when their wives or girlfriends get pregnant and they want to see their children live, the women kill their babies and they can't do anything about it. What about the right of the Fathers???!!!

I see noone has posted on this topic since January, but I'd like to say that we christians are aware that Christ was not born on Dec. 25 and that it was at one time a different pagan holiday, But we choose to celebrate the birth of Christ on that day simply because the rest of humanity today does, and no other reason. I am certain that Christ was born in the spring sometime but what does the date matter? We should celebrate the fact that He was born every day. Without Him, where would we be?

That depends on how heavy the ball is. You had your lower stomach stitched to your upper stmach, and the p[ort stitched to your inside wall, you wouldn't want to tear those stitches. I would wait 4-6 weeks. When in doubt, throw it out! It's just not worth all you've invested.

these steps have to be done in order to have the surgery, so you do what you have to do in order to get to the end result. Personally, I can understand the 2 visits I had to have with the nutritionist, (although it could have been wrapped up in 1 visit) The 3rd visit with her in the auditorium with many other surgery patients was a repeat of everything she asked us to read and everything she already told us before) so that visit was a waste of time and money also. I can even understand the 1st visit with the psychologist to determine if you are suitable for the surgery, but at the second visit I took the written test( which took about ten minutes to fil out and could have been given to me while I was there on my first visit) So, all in all everything that was done and talked about in those 5 visits could have been done in 1 or maybe even 2 visits. (but then where would they make their money?) When I left, the psychologist handed me a CD to listen to and it was a bunch of visualization and meditation crap. I'm not into that, so I just tossed it.

In this country, we protect life . we protect children from abusers and murderers and abductions. This is all the pro life person is trying to do. We are trying to protect children from their mothers who will kill them if they choose an abortion. What don't you get about that? It's not about 'christians' and their beliefs or 'what the bible says'. (Even though most christians are pro lifers) When you say that I don't have any right to intervene in another womans bodily processes, you are right, EXCEPT when she is going to take the life of someone else. Whenever someone is attempting to kill someone else, I would like to hope that anyone that knows about it would intervene. It all boils down to this one question: "Is the child inside the pregnant mother a living being?" (cause if it is, then you can't take its life) Well, is it a living being or not? What do you say?

Please allow me to clarify. I don't 'hate ' anyone as you stated. and, Yes, I have posted on other threads here,(none of which are focused on race) but not to complain about their existance. You can love and celebrate yourself as a woc all you want. I love myself and others,too, (and it has nothing to do with the color of my skin or theirs) My intent was to make you aware that to have a thread that's entitled 'woman of color' is wrong because woc would not think that a thread entitled 'White women" would be appropriate. Hi Ebony Rose, I'm rooting for you! I'm sure you will have great success with your band when you get it. It's a wonderful tool to help you get the weight off and feel better. I am thankful for my quick recovery and that the band helps me to feel satisfied after eating such a much smaller portion of food. God bless

I'm new to talking on lap band talk, but I've read alot of threads and just realized that you're the same person who feels it's o.k. to be a baby killer (the abortion issue) but don't dare give them a spanking after they're born to discipline them. WOW! And you think I need parenting classes?
