She was a student who was going to school, and if the money was used to pay for her rent (reduced or not) or anything else, that's her business. She had food stamps for the kids, so her student loans weren't being used to feed her family. Didn't you read the past posts? I heard thru someone here that she was a nurse, but we were mistaken. Wow! you never got your info wrong?

I have a daughter who has 1 child and lives with me at a reduced rate and if she had enough money to afford PS, I wouldn't care if she had it done. It's her money.

Also, collecting disability payments is not welfare. If someone is disabled, and she would have to have a doctor prove it, whether herself or her children, then it is a legitimate income. And if she is getting disability, then she deserves to. As far as the student loans go, if she has taken out loans, then they she will have to repay them just like the rest of us. What business is that of anyones? Student loans are not just for tuition, they can be used for living expenses a well.

She may be going to school to become a nurse. Maybe that's what I heard. About the welfare thing... Some people do believe that welfare is when you collect 'cash' assistance, and foodstamps isn't the same as welfare. In her defense, when I was on welfare all those years ago, they used to ask me, "Do you get welfare, or foodstamps? Do you get medical coverage?" So, she may have been confused as to what actually is welfare.

When she told Curry that she was saving all her money for IVF she probably was at that time. It's not cheap you know.

Even if she had 1 kid or 2 or 3 at the time that she had her plastic surgery, So what? If she had the money at the time and could afford to do it, then who are we to say she can't spend her money on whatever she wanted to? I'm sure that at the time she had her surgery, she wasn't thinking that she would one day have 8 or 9 or 10 more kids to support, so "I better bank this money I have."

Beth says that, but she knows I don't follow her. I know that I'm not a lesbian, so it must be her who is drawn to me. I follow the threads I post on. Is it my fault that she's on them all? And always has something nasty to say to others that I am drawn to reply to?

In this economy, there are alot of people who are losing their homes. They purchased homes they couldn't afford without putting anything down on it. (some even topped that by borrowing money from lenders on top of the mortgage loan to do home inprovements or anything else they desired) Her mom might have done that also. My suggestion to her is to sell her home and with any equity she might have in it, pay off her debt and downsize. Her daughter will be rich soon enough with her new show to come. She will be able to return her moms goodness towards her at that time. I am sure that there will be a HUGE audience to view her life on TV. I'm sure most of you will watch it. It's something everyone wants to hear about.

How do you know that she didn't have this plastic surgery BEFORE she had kids? She was a nurse, so she made pretty good money when she was working. If she had the surgery before kids, then so what?

Hi. There is one thing that I would like to make clear if I may. I know that not everyone believes in God and that is their choice. I also know that I can not force what I believe on anyone or convert anyone to christianity,(nor is it my goal to do so) because I know that that is the Holy Spirits job, and His only. But God desires for me to plant seeds and water them so he could bring forth flowers. Therefore, I am not ashamed to speak of my reasons for why I feel certain ways on different issues. I understand that unbelievers may not have the same stand on abortion as I do (or other issues as well). That is their option. When we are debating these issues, how can we do so if we are in agreement? For then there would be no debate. If I call abortion murder, that is because that is exactly what I feel it is. If you call it a procedure and say there is no life being killed, then that is because it is the way you feel. Noone is trying to offend anyone here. (I know I'm not) You can't just have a discussion on abortion. That's not why we're here. This is a DEBATE. (Who supports the right to choose?) Sometimes people who don't agree with you may become angry or offended because you believe a certain way, and sometimes they are glad you agree with them. So, we rant and we rave. I hope that everyone here knows that I am not out to offend anyone by my beliefs on any issues. But also that I will stand on what I believe, and do my best to defend it to others. You may do the same with me on your beliefs. Stand on them, and defend them, for they are yours.

Please forgive me for that assumption, but I thought it was you in a past post who said either that you were an athiest, or that you didn't believe in God. If I'm mistaken, I apologize. I didn't assume that because you disagreed with me on this issue, but maybe because it's hard for me to understand how someone who believes in God could condone abortion for any reason.

I posted my responses above in dark print. Why would you want us to stick to knitting if our real concern is for the unwanted babies? Did you say that wrong? I don't agree with some extremists and their way of getting people to stop aborting babies, (Especially those who bomb clinics and kill people) but sometimes when you know people are killing babies, you will try anything to stop them. If someone was trying to kill my neighbor or my family, and there was something I could do to stop that murder, I would definitely try.

Who better to answer that than pattygreen herself? Patty is God's child. God is her Father and her authority. She is NOT God. She knows God very well though, because she reads his words that he left for everyone to pick up and get to know him with. She is pretty confident that her opinions on controversial issues, such as some topics discussed in Rants and Rave, are correct according to what God states about them. She is not shy or embarrassed about her relationship with God, and she isn't afraid to tell others what God has to say about any issue. On the other hand, if she were not in an area where differing opinions were being thrown out to rant and rave about them, she would be very careful to be unoffensive and loving towards others, and sometimes may not even bring up God's views on things at all. But in this forum, she has no qulams at all about doing it.

Yes, I can say that. ALL of my decisions, since I became a believer in Christ 23 years ago, are based on what God tells me in the bible. Yes, I had my first child by my not then husband before I got married to him and No, I didn't marry a divorced man nor have I ever been married before. What? Don't you recall me telling you that those who believe in Jesus are forgiven for their sins? So even if I sinned before knowing God, or even if I sin right now, or even in the future, God doesn't even remember them. So why do you bring up my past?
