  1. How can you put a price on human life? Good thing it isn't your life we are talking about here.
  2. This is where we disagree.I believe it make perfect sense not to kill others. The ONLY time I feel that abortion is necessary is.. When the life of the mother is in grave danger if she continues to carry. And even then, I believe I would trust God to get me through it (but that's just me).
  3. I believe all prolifers would agree to criminalize abortion and do everything that we can to stop it, just like we would do everything we can to stop any criminal act. My prolife stance is very honest.
  4. I only state my belief. I do not believe my opinion is the only opinion. You are giving me yours right now, so obviously I don't think mine is the only opinion. I do not believe everyone should think as I do. But I do believe that everyone should seek for themselves to see what God's opinion is. Please don't take my word about what God has to say on abortion. Read it for yourself.
  5. I just want to say something about that magazine article on abortion that says that 70% of people who have abortions were christians. There are many christian denominations in this country, and there are many in those denominations that are christians, but in name only. (not all, but many). I can't tell you how many times before I became a christian that I told people who asked me that I was a christian, because I had called the local catholic church mine. I never attended the church. I never accepted that Jesus was my Savior. I really wasn't a christian, but when questioned, (or polled) said that I was. (because my parents said they were) When people have to choose a faith on a survey, or questioneer, they think for a second about what they believe and then say 'christian'. So, I don't think that 70% is as true as it says it is. If anyone were truely christian, they would have the spiritual understanding that abortion is not acceptable in God's eyes and be prolife.
  6. Since you state that you do not know when the baby becomes a human do you feel that you should try to guess? Because if at 3 months and 4 days gestation it may not be a human, but at 3 months 5 days gestation it may be a human, you could be killing a human if you choose abortion. My parents used to say, if you can't figure out if what you want to do is wrong or right, use this policy....When in doubt, throw it out. In other words, better to not do something if it may be wrong then to go ahead and do it and find out it wasn't right.
  7. If you take a newborn baby at say, 1 month, or 2 or 3 months and leave it alone in the crib, it will not be able to survive either. That is what I mean. Every baby, in or out of the womb needs nourishment and care. If left in the womb, it grows independently of the mother by dividing its own cells. If out of the womb it grows independently also. I guess the point I am trying to make is that the baby is not part of the mothers body and therefore she shouldn't be able to decide whether another humans body lives or dies. If you want to kill yourself by driving your car off a bridge, I suppose no one can stop you, but if you are going to do that, then make sure you don't have any passengers in the car with you. Because it may not be their decision to go over the bridge with you. The baby in the moms womb is a passenger in her body. The only thing she provides for her passenger is fast food.
  8. Carrie and Bjean, even if you don't believe that God disapproves of abortion, would you believe science supports that an unborn baby is just as much an independent human being as you are? The original human cell consists of 46 chromosomes, 23 from each parent. At no point during the pregnancy does the mother contribute any new cells to the child. The original cell divides itself and multiplies to provide development and growth to the child. Scientifically speaking, the child is just as dependent at 6 months before birth as he will be 6 months after birth. Yes, the mom provides nourishment to the unborn child, but she also provides nourishment for the newly born child.
  9. I read in the paper today that the Pope told Nancy Pelosi (a Catholic) that Catholic politicians have a duty to protect life "at all stages of it's development." Even though there are so many things that I disagree with the catholic denomination about, I can see that they know God's stand on this issue and I give them credit for taking a stand on it.
  10. I don't think that Hitler was a christian. He had nothing but murder and hatred in his heart for God's chosen people, the Jewish nation. The bible teaches that those who love, and are friends with and pray for Israel, He will love and protect.
  11. Carrie, I believe that for God, the creator of every baby, to choose to bring his child home to heaven with him before it is born through a miscarriage is far different than someone else making that choice for him through an abortion. Doesn't the potter have the right to do as he chooses with his clay? Mother's do not own their children. God loans them to us for a time to train them up in the way that they should go. Every fertilized egg does become a human and at the second of conception God places a soul within each fetus. When children die, whether inside the womb or outside the womb, they go straight to be with God who made them.
  12. What is so revealing about it? I have no doubt that Carrie is all those things. There may be some who believe in God and believe in the right to choose, but I don't think it is millions. Anyway, If they do, they have not read what God has to say about it. Did you know that even those in the clergy (as you call it) are human and may not have actually read the bible through. When your husband says he loves you, and then cheats on you, does he really love you? When your friend says she loves you and then talks about you behind your back, does she really love you? My point is, you shouldn't say that you believe in God and then do the things he hates or tells you not to do.
  13. Carrie, don't you find that contradictory? For to believe in God, is to believe in all that he stands for. Even Satan believes in God. But we all know where he ends up. Do you believe that God exists, but you just don't agree with him on the issue of abortion?

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

You don't know how to be nice, do you? That was very uncalled for and rude.

Yes, and I hope she can keep her precious children.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

TQuad, I could care less if you think I am ungodly. Only what God thinks about me is what's important to me. Just because you know some thing about me (that I am a christian) does that mean every time I say something you don't like you're going to point out my un godliness? Why not use another word, like unkind or mean or rude. I'll tell you why you don't. You feel that saying that I am ungodly will be the ultimate insult to me. That only shows me what kind of person you really are. But rest assured, you're not insulting me. I have more self confidence than you do in your little finger. For I don't have to resort to name calling to make myself feel good. I already feel just fine, and know that I am not ungodly in God's eyes. I may not be perfect, but I have a perfect Father. You only make yourself look little in the eyes of the reader.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

First off, I hate religion and don't ever want to go deep into it. I might add that I am the only one here who will defend her against some of these accusations. You know in this country, people are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. You people have jumped right over the jury and have gone straight to the judge in her case. You have condemned her and thrown away the key. What ever happened to grace and mercy and forgiveness? BTW, Don't avoid my challenge. SHOW me where I stated a half truth concerning God and his principals. You can't can you? I'll take that apology now.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Who says I am hostile? Are you reading my threads with a tone of anger in your head? You think that i am ungodly, and I think that you are meanspirited. There, we are even. Answer me this...How am I trying to cause trouble? Did you want everyone who posts here to agree with you on all your opinions?

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

You are pitiful to me, because you don't even know how pathetically jealous you come across as being. How sad. Reread your post and REALLY listen to yourself. You sound like a fifth grader on the playground when another child seems to be getting more attention than you are. (and this isn't the first time I've had to deal with you about this.) Stop whining and grow up! If you want some attention, Beth, just take an opposing view from the rest of those that you follow and agree with on everything. Better yet, do what you are sooooo good at, and call them names. That should get you some ME time.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I have never compared myself to her. I stated that I had a daughter who lives with me who has a child and pays a reduced rent to me, and if she saved enough money, I wouldn't care how she chose to spend it even if it was on PSurgery. How does that NOT relate to the topic here? This woman had a child or two and saved up some money and chose to have PS. SO WHAT??!! Did she think..."Oh no, 6 years from now, I might have 12 more kids then I do right now, and I should save this money I saved for my PS." No! Get off the plastic surgery thing. It's not even relevent.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

You have me wrong, I do not support what she does. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt though. Something I don't feel you may be capable of. She was definitly not thinking things through when she chose to have children without a husband and without the means to support them. BTW, there isn't anyone here who can't relate to her or anyone else in the world in some way. Who has never taken a dime from ANY form of assistance? Who has never spent money on something they wanted instead of something they needed. Who has children without a father? Who has never lived with their parents after they turned 18 and should have been supporting themselves. Who has never put things on hold and/or had to depend on someone else to help them till they finish their education. Which one of you have never made a stupid choice or decision in life? Who has never accepted charity? Who has never done something that turned out to be far more complicating then you thought it would be? All I'm saying is... Who among you should cast the first stone at her? (I"m sure Beth will say she will be glad to do it)

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I never make comments that go against against what God stands for. I called you rude , not because you gave your opinion, but because YOU WERE RUDE!!!!! You commented that I had a wrong connection to God, and that was RUDE to me. Period! AND what would you know about God and His principals?! Point out a half truth that I posted that had to do with God's principals. I dare you. Because I will stand strong on what I say about God.
