I had a big unfill recently and am waiting anxiously for the refill - Tova:smile:
-
it better go back to normal because I am starving all the time now and desperately need a fill
-
he said it was normal after having the band for a few years already he didnt seem too concerned just that he will not give me a fill until everything seems to be back to normal Tova

I really need and feel like I should come to the meeting - need to take my daughter to the dentist. I am still going to see if I can keep the meeting. Mel - I agree with you - about the brain reset!!! I am working on that very hard now since my big unfill Tova

I decided that it's all for the best. Dr Robinson wouldnt give me a fill - he said that the upper GI that I took showed that the band is fine, but my esophagus is slightly enlarged. He wants me to take another upper GI in a month and see him that day too, where he will hopefully be able to give me a fill. I will try to come to the meeting next Monday, and I agree with you I need to make an appointment with Phyllis - I have never met her, the last nut I met with was Natalie - a little bit too long. I really need accountability. Trying to keep my head up - and not enjoy too much food!!! Tova

I go in tomorrow afternoon to the Faulkner for a fill - which I desperately need. I feel like a bloated balloon!!! I can eat everything which is great until I step on the scale. I realized through all this how much my focus plays such an important role in this whole journey. I need to get back on track with my eating and continue to make it to the gym regularly tova

Mel, I havent had a fill in I dont know how long, it is definitely gas pains, and I am being more careful with it, yesterday was a much better day. When I was at the chiropractor the other day he also mentioned diaghram soreness and he is really helping me. I feel much better, but I realize that I really have to watch myself and stay on target with my eating and exercise tova

I guess I never know what reflux felt like - but feeling bettter now I realize that the tightness that I felt was really not normal. My issue for today is terrrible pain in my shoulder - tova

After feeling great that I finally made it to the meeting on Monday, everything went downhill - I was always tight, up a whole night coughing, and just felt that something was not right. I called the office on Thursday morning and went in for an unfill. The nurse took out 1 1/2cc, putting me at 7cc. WOW what a difference I feel soooo much better now. I also have to take prilosec for the month and go for an upper GI I will have to call the office so that they can set it up for me. I know I should have gone in earlier and not wait the few days I did but I am sure glad I had this unfill and hope it wont cause me to gain too much weight!!!! Tova:redface:

It was really great to see you all tonight at the Faulkner. It reminded me how important these meetings really are. I left the meetings feeling - "I can do this" - I know that I and only I am resposible for my eating habits and only I can change them. I am really focused now to get back on track, with my eating and exercise. Tova:thumbup:

HI everyone - sorry I havent been around lately busy with home and work I guess. I read Heidi's and Mel's comment - I didnt realize that if I didnt drink enough that would affect me. why? I also noticed I have been down on my drinking and getting a little bit tight - this week I will try to drink more. Another thing I have noticed is that if I drink too much on an empty stomach I become very nauseous - anyone ever have that? Tova

this is becoming so annoying, every month I plan o comig to the meeting and something comes up last minute - now I have a social engagement that I need to attend. I was really looking forward to seeing you all - but I guess I have to hope that next month will be better. anyone going to the brigham? Tova

what time is the meeting at the faulkners and where

I am seeing that the thing that helps keep me going is when I work out regularly - I dont know why but exercising also helps me eat better - I need to commit to go regularly

Just wanted to post and say HI. I never believed live would be so busy - not complaining it is all for good things. I have not been to the gym in a while but started again last week and that made me feel great. I was so looking forward to coming to the support meeting this week, but I have pt conferences in school, so I guess I will have to try again for next month. Otherwise my weight has been staying the same even though I would love to loose another 10 pounds before I call it quits, but I am not stressing, I am just so glad I am where I am today - the band has been the greatest thing for me. Hatzlocha to you - remember to use your band correctly and you will see great results. I had surgery 2 1/2 years ago - it's the best thing I ever did for myself Tova

I have learned that during the Holidays and whenever I entertain, I do all the serving so that I am not just sitting by the table and being tempted to eat. Also I first only take a small portion of an easily digestable Protein (not meat). Only then will I allow myself to take something else. I also leave some room for dessert - ice cream, not cake or fruit which is much harder to digest. Tova
-
I think that the way you are loosing is the healthiest way. I lost that way too. Lost, plateaued and then lost some more. I t gave my body time to adjust to the weight loss. Keep up the great job - your definitely heade in teh right direction tova

I actually had both of those - c-section and gall bladder surgery 17 years before I got banded. The section did not interfere, but the gall bladder had some scar tissue, which caused the surgery to be 30 minutes longer, but nothing major - only something the doctor had to deal with. Tova
-
I lost 13 pounds before surgery. I believe that lapband is one of the most positvie things I have ever done for myself. As with everything, it is not a magical thing you need to work with it - it is an amazing TOOL to help you loose weight in a healthy manner. Tova

I agree about the importance of coming to support meetings now that I am two years out. I left the meeting with new energy to stay focused and lost threee pounds this week. Tova

It was great seeing you last night - I realize how going to meetings is really a great help for me, I feel totally refocused - I had a great day today even though I traveled alot, I took my sons to camp in upstate New York. Tova

It is on my schedule to go on Tuesday - I hope everything works out, I really miss coming Tova

This is all part of the Lap band journey. Some days you can tolerate certain foods better than other days, and as you get more restricted there will be foods that you will learn to stay away from. Everyone is different. I have met people who eat raw salads daily, where I can not eat raw vegetables - lettuce, peppers, tomatoes... It is defiinitely something I miss, but I am learning to compensate. All this is certainly worth the end result. Good luck to you Tova

I havent been around lately - but I have been checking this site often. I decided to be good and get back into things, so of course being off from school and not having a regular schedule I decided that there was a support group tonight, and I went!!!! When I got there I realized my mistake - I hope I dont mess it up next week. Tova
