  4. just saying hi Lori... I am still learning my way around this site so I'm unsure... email me any time... the water has helped me tremendously... a new me

  5. WATER WATER WATER!!! I took me a good 4 months to realize that water is the problem. I would throw up daily. One day i could have tuna, the next no. Some days i couldnt even get sf pudding down, and my protein shakes would curdle, then the curdle would get stuck and I couldnt do even a protien shake. I thought my band had slipped, i was freaking out. I saw a post that said drink more water, and it has been dramatically different!!!! Drink as much water as you can!!! Still cant eat breakfast, just coffee, then yogurt a couple hours later. But lunch and dinner are fine!!! Im losing about 2lbs a week and its great!!! Wish it was faster but i know this is the healthy way to do it!!
  6. Okay... so when i go to get a fill... he inserts the needle.. and asks me to sit up. I sit up and he tells me to start sipping water. I start sipping and he asks me if its going down. At first i feel it going down... then it stops in my throat... i tell him and he starts to unfill... i do not know when to tell him to stop unfilling... can anyone help me figure how to distinguish when the fill is just right. Getting really frustrated... down only 35lbs and i was banded on oct 14, 2008. Please HELP!!!

I dream about food alot... i had a dream the night before surgury that i ate an entire freanch loaf!!! lol... then after sugury i had a dream that i ate half a Pizza, and then woke up in a panic!!! I dont think its strange to dream about food while going through this whole process... we need to think about food alot to figure out how to live with the band.

    Going Stir Crazy!!!

i was banded oct 14. Im started driving on friday. Your on regular foods already??? My doc has me on 2 weeks of liquids... and then pureed for 2 weeks!! Im terrified to eat anything!
  11. I love the bullets!! they are the only way I can get all the protien in. I think they taste like a liquid jolly rancher. I mix it with a tiny bit of water and a couple ice cubes. Thanks for the link!

    Anyone else banded on 10/14/08?

I was also banded on Oct 14 and also went home that night. Today I feel just about normal, only a little gas pain today. Im on liquids for 2 weeks, my Dr. doesnt want me to have protein shakes, i dont know why, but i have clear protein that i hate!! So i went to GNC and got some protein bullets. They seem to fill me up and have 42 grams of protein. I drink half in the morning and the rest for dinner, mixed with very little water and a couple ice cubes. Tastes kinda like a liquid jolly rancher. Im not supposed to have anything creamy. Can you guys feel your port? I can, its kinda freaky!!
  13. I was banded yesterday oct 14, my Dr. told me to remove the tape over my incisions today and that there were no stitches just glue.. im freaking out thinking my stomach is going to rip open. Any one else go threw this?

    Question about Pre-Op Diet

I think u would be fine if u start now. I was banded yesterday and i only had 1 week pre op diet. It will just make an easier recovery if you do the pre opt diet. My dr. only required a 3 day diet if your BMI was less than 40. i dont think you should move your date back... good luck!
