I'm doing great - life is busy is all... I'm down about 50lbs. Last fill was a few weeks ago and I'm really tight, probably too tight, but I'm losing again so I dont really want any out right now. Probably not the right thing to do, but I cant help it cause I love seeing the ## coming off! I was in the chat room just a few minutes ago tonight. Chatted with Slinky for a bit. I'm just one week post-op and I've already lost 10lbs since surgery..... It's just crazy!!

Hi thanks for the ipod advice... how is it going afterwards? did you go through insurance? PPO or HMO? or did you pay cash? My authorization was sent in on saturday... i am dying to know if i get authorized!

Hey there -

Im not sure how your recovery room will be set up, but I didnt have any type of private room, and the iPod was great for drowning out the sounds of the room. I'm feeling good today, 5 days post-op. Not starving, but there are some grumblings going on down there that I can stop with some warm broth or a few spoonfulls of yogurt. I was approved through my insurance. Pretty sure I'm a PPO. My BMI was 40, so I didnt have much trouble getting approved. Had to do a 3 month supervised diet with the nutritionist and get a bunch of clearences, but other than that, it was pretty good. Once they sent in my paperwork, I had an answer in 2 days. You may have gotten your answer by now - let me know.. Hope you get it!

Hey - I'm home - banded!! I got home at 9:30 last night after getting to the hosp at 8:30am. Needless to say, I was just exhausted! I'm feeling ok today - really really sore, but Im getting about the apt. and stuff. Hopefully I can get a better nights sleep tonight. Last night was just bad.. I'll jump in the room later and see whose around.

Hi Tania - it's me....Linda. I can't believe you're getting banded before me! LOL I'm going in Jan. 22nd. I was scheduled for Jan 8th, but I didn't quit smoking so they pushed me back.. :-( I quit right after that though so I won't get pushed back again... Keep in touch ok - Call me anytime... 760-1421
