My husband and I both had surgery this year. Mine was on 10/22/08 and his on 12/23/08. We had cinga insurance. they gave us a little scare with my hubby, denied him but we appealed and they came through. Made no sense to me since his bmi was 55 and mine was 38. I was diabetic though.He has a cpap machine for sleep apnea.

I was banded on 10/22/08 and have been going to the gym on regular basis about 6 weeks now. I just saw a post on another website stating should not be doing situps? Anybody out there know if this is true.

Just checking in. Had my surgery on 10/22/08 and have lost from 206 day of surger to 188 today. Just joined a gym couple of weeks ago. Have found muscles didnt know I had. Ha I am having a little trouble getting in my protein with just 3 meals of 4-6 ounces. find myself snacking to get the last of the protein in. Not sure how to avoid this. Not much will power. I had my first fill 11/18 and scheduled for a second one on 12/16 hope this helps.

Keep in mind that you are probably having non scale victories. I measured all parts of my body on 10/13 the day i started preop with my surgery on 10/22. I just measured again this morning 3 weeks later and i have lost 17 lbs but have also lost at least 2 to 3 inches already!!!

I live in Lewisville, I was banded on 10/22/08 . today is my first day to add soft mushies. I had minimal pain. The gas is was best worked off for me by walking. I have a treadmill in my living room from one of my former diets. I have started back to work past Friday. I have lost 16 pounds so far.

I was banded on 10/22 and have lost 7 lbs since surgery. i lost 8 in the 10 day preop. I am so looking forward to sunday when i will introduce soft mushies. I am below 200!!! my goal is 140 .i am diabetic but have already reduced my meds. hope to be off soon.

I only did 9 days preop just because i was in such a hurry to schedule my surgery. Dr Benavedes let me do it. I had my surgery last wednesday 10/22

Hello, i was just banded on the 22 of oct. All is going pretty well and i attribute most of that to the Lord and all my friends prayers. I tried to get into habits before surgery of chewing more thoroughly and slowing down. This helped a lot. I am of course just on liquids right now but am not having any hunger yet. Probably the swelling from surgery. I live in Dallas Texas area. My dr is DR Benavides. They have great aftercare! I will get my first fill on Nov 18th. Hang in there and your turn will come. Remember, I can do all things through Christ.

Its finally here. I leave for the surgery center in about a hour. I started this with a seminar back in Feb when i met my surgeon Dr Benavides. He is great. Best wishes for anyone else out there having surgery today.
