The pain wasn't too bad. That was the first time I've ever had surgery so I wasn't sure what to expect. The first day obviously was the worst. I sat in the recliner all day. Had some gas issues in my chest that evening, walked the floor with those. Each day got a little better. I didn't take any pain medicine and I had what I call two 'bad' days. My husband had the band put in the day before me and he did take pain medicine and you'd never've known he had surgery!!

My bandaversary was Oct. 8th. I didn't do anything except make me a 'progress' picture. I've lost 70 pounds. I need to decide what my next goal is and get motivated to get the rest of this weight off! It truly has been a remarkable year and I'm so glad I made the decision to get this band! I went to the seminar to encourage my husband and ended up signing up too! :sad: It's been great having someone to go through this with me. Lisa in KY

I weighed in Wednesday. I lost 4 pounds last week! I'm so excited. It has been coming off so slow...1 pound a week so I'm thrilled for a 4 pound week! Last week I did exactly what my surgeon says I'm suppose to do....3 meals a day with a fork, no snacking. Oh, also I didn't have any sweets! Amazing! 15 pounds is my V-Day goal.....4 gone, 11 to go!!:confused:

I want to get in on this challenge too! I really need it. I was banded on 10/08.....have lost 24 pounds to date and need something to motivate me. This is just the thing. Lots of fellow banders to keep me accountable! My goal is 12 pounds. I plan to reach this goal by exercising and staying away from those sweets that go down so easy! Much success to everyone. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. :thumbdown: and then one week from tomorrow is my surgery! I am scared! My husband is also having this done. His date is this Tuesday. Keep us in your prayers. We haven't had surgery before so we are pretty concerned it. :cursing: Lisa

My surgery is also scheduled for Oct 8th in Louisville. My husband's is Oct 7th. We're going through St. Mary's. Lisa
