I have been overwieght my entire life.  I have tried numerous diets with not s o great long term results.  I contated True Results here in Scottsdale Arizona back in August of 2008 to get the lap band.  My insurance required a 6 month diet and a few other things.  After my sixth visit they submitted everything and I got my first denial letter from Cigna.  I was pretty discouraged but the only reason they didnt approve it was because the surgery center wasn't in network.  I was still six moths away from being able to change insurance so I asked if there was any other place they could use that would cover it and they said they would look into it.  I pretty much forgot about the whole thing until a couple moths later I received a random phone call from true results.  They said "good news, we got your surgery approved"  I was excited and scared all at the same time.  I ended up scheduling the surgery almost a year to the day that I first went into the office for the initial consultation.  I had the surgery on August 24 2009.
