Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I cooked for everyone. That was pretty hard. I even made pies. And no I didn't eat any. I did have a wonderful protien pumpkin desert though. It turned out great. How has everyone been doing? Do you have any great reciepes for Christmas that you'd like to share? I've been triing to find some good snacks that everyone can enjoy and that I can have also. If you have any ideas let me know. I go for another fill on the 16th. I havn't felt any restriction with the fills I've had. Also I have not had any trouble with food going down:thumbup:. The weight is coming off very slow. You'd think it would go faster since we all changed our eating habits. Well gotta go. :whatchutalkingabout

Hello everyone. I hope all is well with everyone. I've lost 25 lbs. now. Boy does it seem like its only a little bit at a time. I guess I thought that when I changed my eating habits that the weight would just fall off. I guess not. But my doc says I am doing really well. I guess I'll just listen to him. He knows best.

The 24th will be a month since Ive had a pepsi and boy would one be good. At first it didn't bother me, but Ive had a real craving for it. Also I am on the mushie stage and so very hungry. I don't get my first fill till 10/29/08. What is everyone eating? Help Me Please!!!!!!!!!!!:biggrin:

Hello Smashing Pumpkins, I was banded on friday Oct. 3rd. Everything went well. The first day is a little rough but it gets better from there. The worst is the gas pains in the shoulders. The insisions them self do not hurt. My stomach feels like i did a bunch of situps. We can do this. we can ALL do this. :lol:Thanks for all the support. Cyndi

Cheryl, The liquid diet is the one that shinks your liver. It is also a high protein diet. You get 5 of the SF Carnation Breakfast Meals a day,But you must add Extra protien to it. 20mg a day extra. I add some to each shake. Then every thing else should be clear liquids. Up to at least 64 oz. Good Luck!!! Cyndi

Hello Fab 40, My name is Cyndi and Iam 3 days on the liquid diet. Will get banded on Oct. 3rd. Can't wait. This has been quite a journey to get this far. I am 44 and Looking forward to my new life. I don't even care about the extra skin issue. I've got to look better than I do now. And just think we can really go in a regular store and by clothes. I love shopping and can hardly wait to experience that.:thumbup: Cyndi

Shanna,:thumbup: Thank you so much for your advise. I don't think I have been drinking enough liquids. Today is going better and I've lost 6.9 lbs in 3 days. That does help knowing it is making a diffence. Thanks again. Do you know if we can have SF hard candy while on the liquid stage? Someone suggested it. Cyndi

:crying: I am on day 2 of the liquid diet. Boy this is harder than I thought. Iam ok till evening and then I am so hungry. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any thing will help. Next friday is my surgery I hope I can make it.
