Welcome! I hope you love this site as much as I do. It has been a great thing for me. I kept my surgery a secret from everyone and this was the place I would come for support....still do! Are you banded? When?

Hey. Yep after 6 days I stayed exactly the same!!! Great news there! I am enjoying the gym more lately since I got off my rigorous weight lifting schedule. I don't more of my own thing and concentrate on the areas that I think need it. I can't wait to see them. Only 5 days left!
I have been thinking I have been pushing the band too much lately eating things I shouldn't. I am just going to chill until I get back. I come back August 4th and I'll be back on the weight loss wagon starting the 5th! I am kind of looking forward to that too!
Take care! ttyl

Hey girl! I am doing pretty good. I just ran my first 3K last weekend and I think I am going to work for a 5K in September. I am running about 2 miles a day about 5 times a week or so and I hit the gym about 3-4 times a week when I'm not traveling with my job. I feel pretty good. I am still about 20 lbs up from my lowest, but I am in pretty good shape. Trying to watch my caloric intake to lose slowly instead of keeping my carbs super low. I don't think I will ever be happy until I have PS to take the extra skin off (bad apron in front IMHO) and perk the girls up. The TT is a big priority but with other things going on I just can't afford it right now. Hopefully in a year or two. I am so glad to hear things are going so well for you. Funny how the first 9 months I lived on the boards but we have all kind of found our way back into a life where the band is a part of normal living and not something to take up every last waking thought.

Hey thanks for the comments on my profile. It is amazing how you will feel a year from today....just 11 more months and you'll hit that year mark and you won't even remember what it felt like to be where you are now. Keep a blog. I love going back to remember where I came from and how hard I have worked. It is still a chore and I hope to lose more, but I am pretty happy with myself now. Keep up the great work!

Well, I postponed it from the beginning of this month until March 6th. Just a week from Friday. Hubby is off work for a month because of a broken bone in his foot and recovering from surgery. I am hoping to be able to afford a trip to Denver. The fill only costs me $15 so it is just the gas and overnight fees I have to pay for.

Hi cin, I had my first fill scheduled at 4 weeks post op. I rescheduled because I thought I had resctriction. As soon as I resceduled my swelling from surger all went down. I don't really have any. I can tell if I eat really big bites that I better slow down and chew chew chew, but I can eat anything I want. I am still losing weight by following the bandster rules. My first fill will happen on Friday.
Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words! I am proud and ready to get started back when I come back from vacation next week!
Oh by the way if you put your ticker in your signature it is avaialbe for everyone to see under "About Me" and if you change the numbers it changes it for you without reposting it. Just thought I would share.

Thanks for the comment. My workout routine started as promising myself at least 30 minutes of cardio 3 times a week. If I did no more than that I wasn't allowed to get down on myself. I slowly started adding in weights. I would work on my abs and get a good routine for that. My cardio strarted getting boring so I would change it up with spinning and zumba. After about 8 months I had the gym make me a weight program to follow and I did that for about 8 weeks. It also got me more comfortable around more weight machines.
I have always stuck to my cardio 3 times a week, and one day I do arms, one day I do legs and one or two days a week I do my abs. I'm not hard core, but I give myself a good workout.
I started working out (again...I've started and stopped a million times before) about 6 weeks after surgery. Hard to believe it has been a year ago!

The fill work okay until I realize I was way too tight and needed an unfill. I am pretty happy now. Not being very strict with my diet so I'm not losing, but hold pretty steady. I need to do better. Hang in there. I know if I got back to my high protein and low carb it would melt off some more. I really need to do that. Take care and keep in touch!

Hi Honesty. Thanks for the comment on my pic. The best advice I can give is really all in my blog Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum - My Secret Journey Start with the last page and work your way forward. My guidelines and lessons that I have learned are all in there. 22 lbs in 2-3 weeks is awesome! Keep it up!
