  1. Okay, so I have addmitted to myself that I am too tight. I have fallen into soft calorie syndrome. It sucks. I hope I can get a tiny unfil on Monday. My weight loss has been so-so and eating is too hard. I have fallen to soft foods, especially ice cream. BAD BAD BAD!!!!!

    Kind of depressing, but I want to get the unfill before I have to worry about a slip or erosion. :wink2:

  4. OMG!!!!

    I am out of the 170's! I weighed 168.9 lbs today! Awesome!

    I too started to platuea after about 8 months. I needed another adjustment that I put off for 3 monthsl I also changed up my diet a little. My supper mostly is tilapia fish and a side of cottage cheese to help with the texture. With a high Protein Breakfast and noon meal the weight has started to move again. I had started to cheat with sweets and it had stalled my progress. Still hitting the gym. I still do much better if I track everthing I eat at www.spartkpeople.com. If I don't track it then I eat one or two things that really screw up my band. I love my band. I might be a little tight. If I was closer to my surgeon I would get a tiny unfil, but if I am mindful of what I eat and the bites I take then I do okay.

    I'm in the 160's! I just about can't stand it!!!!:)


  5. Day 6 into pre-op diet!!!! 8 lbs gone forever! And yes I am hungry as hell, lol! Unbelievable! I am just completely blown away. :thumbup:What a great day! : )

    Are you hungry or do you want to eat everything in sight? There is a difference. When you start to search for food. You know what I mean...you start stalking the kitchen....or the offices that you know have chocolate sitting on their desks. That is when you need to stop and ask yourself if you are hungry. If you have to find a room by yourself and ask it out loud then do it. Am I hungry? Is my stomach empty? Is it going to growl soon? If the answer is yes then eat Protein. If the answer is no then your brain knows it is not hungry....you just want to eat. This helped me lose more weight than just about everything else. I also use www.sparkpeople.com to keep track of what I eat.

    Good luck. Get those sweets out of your system and you won't crave them anymore. It takes about 3-7 days.

  7. October 21st at 1pm is my day and time to start the most important phase of this journey. I start the liquid diet on Oct. 7th,,, that should be fun! Just gotta keep the end results in mind and I'll do great!:(

    One day at a time. Keep the end prize in mind.

    I am tentative oct 6th. I have to wait for my therapist to clear me. I have done everything else and this is the last thing I need to do. I am NOT a self pay but I did get laid of 9/8 and I just wanna get this done before I loose everything. I think I am going to try to pay for cobra to make sure I can get my fills. if needed...

    I'm going to assume you meant "laid off" :tongue2: I'm sorry to hear about that. Congrats on this decision. It is a wonderful ride if you follow all the rules!

    Only 5 days to go until the operation.... Getting really nervous but excited also.

    I remember that. I NEVER thought my surgery date would get here!

    gain 1.1 lb. I don't know what happen....I been eating 1200 to 1300 calories a day. It better be nothing but muscle. :thumbup:

    Oh Sarah, I'm refusing to weigh until at least Wednesday. I have had icecream every day this week. Back from my trip and nose back to the grindstone!

    *woot* I'm so excited! I definitely have spurts of extreme anxiety, but just going to focus on the positives. 5 days!!!! :thumbup:

    Hey evryone, im an october banditt!! Cant wait. Myself and my mother in law are both being banded on the 6th of october. Sooooooo excited. Cant wait to be a skinny bitch lol!!!

    Wow how exciting. My MIL and I are not that close, but it is great you are and to have someone to go through this with. Remember NOT to compare yourselves to each other. Each of you are different. If you lose at different rates then one of you might become discouraged. Be mindful of that and EXPECT it. That will help you prepare for what ever rate you lose at.


  8. I'm ready to melt the pounds off!!!!!:biggrin:

    Breakfast - Southwestern Egg Beaters and 1 morning star Breakfast sausage. (sometimes I'll have bacon or ham. I really like the morning star and can't eat much of the egg since my last fill. The southwest has great taste included with pepers and such!)

    Lunch/Supper: Okay so here are a few of my favorite meals. A) I just found these incredible Walmart brand hamburgers. They are precooked and haved flavors such as jalapanos/cheese or blue cheese and black peper. I add about 1/2 c. of cottage cheese for texture. These only have 200 calories which is about half of regular hamburgers that I need to cook myself and I only have to heat these for 1 1/2 minutes!

    :frown: walmart brand stuffed chicken breast. Cook for thirty minutes in the over. add cottage cheese or veggies. There are 4 different variations to keep you from getting board. (bacon & peperjack, mushroom, Jalapenos & cheese, there are a couple more..it is late and I can't remember them, but they rock!)

    C) chicken salad - one can of tyson chunck chicken breast, 3 big spoons of light miracle whip and 3 forks full of sweet relish. garlic peper to taste. This makes 2-4 servings depending on your fill. Again I love to add cottage cheese to every meal. I love cottage cheese.

    D) Turkey breast, diced mixed with cottage cheese and peas. (Sounds weird, but one of my favorites!)

    E) Hormel Roast Beef with Au Jus. Enough in a little package for about 3 meals. Awesome! Add some veggies or my favorite standby

    Snacks:

    A) I drink pink limade crystal light (walmart brand) for my sweet tooth. LOVE it!!

    :wink2: Beef Jerky - has never gotten suck. I don't understand it!

    C) String cheese - if you watch your brand it is only about 60 calories per snack.

    I hope that helps. I keep track of everything I eat on www.sparkpeople.com. It helps me with my Protein and calories.

    I am type 2 diabetic and I carry New whey liquid Protein.< p>There is 42 g of protein in 3.4 oz tube . Different flavors.. I plan to keep using it after I am banded Oct 15.

    I used this for the first week or two. I was weak the first week from lack of calories. I think this helped me get going, but remember that you don't want to drink calories after you are on solid food after banding. I could get it in without using them so try to use the solid protein to get you full and keep you that way.

    I got my new date today Oct 23rd.....after I cancelled the 1st one because of nerves

  9. I have to ramp up my Protein intake (she said double it - don't know if I'll be able to do that). But I'm trying to get an egg white omlette down as I type (gagging). We'll see next week. I'm hoping to see a change!

    I get 70 - 100 grams of Protein a day. It melts the pounds off! The solid protein fills me up and no room for extras and that gets the cravings out. I am out of town this week so I am just hoping that I don't gain this week!

    Great job in boot camp. I thought about it at my gym, but the days don't fit my schedule and it is SO EXPENSIVE!

    Okay all. I finally got back on the wagon, got the carbs out of my system and lost all the cravings!!! I forgot how great it feels! It has been a LONG 4 months, but I finally feel like I can keep this going to goal. I might change my overall goal to be the same as my halloween goal. We'll see how things go. I go out of town from Monday - Saturday. I need to be happy if I don't GAIN this week. I should be able to work out every day....if I make it a priority!

    110 total. I lost 14# on the pre-op diet that I started Oct. 10th so I count it all together.
