I'm glad you are doing well. It is nice to see a kind of time line of what to expect. It think it will help to say "Okay give yourself 10 to get back to normal. KarenK- I'm sure you'll get there. A week from today you will feel like a new person. But this is a safe place to say everything you feel. I'll keep you and the rest of the newly banded in my thoughts! I can't wait to be in the "What did I do to myself" phase.

Have you thought about our Bandiversary? I know it is a year away. I know we will have short term goals and long term goals, but what about next Halloween? I think I'm going to go as a nurse (I am a nurse) but with the white dress, cap, and heels. I would love to be able to dress up like that for Halloween AND LOOK GOOD DOING IT!!!! No matter how I dress I plan to go as a much happier, more comfortable person!!!! :girl_hug:

October 11-mama g Good luck on getting banded today mama g! how did everyone pick their goal weight? Was it on the ideal weght chart? Good BMI? Where you were at a certain time in your life? I had picked 160 because I haven't been that skinny since my sophmore year in HS, but I think I need to shoot for 140 or 145. I tell my kids to aim high to acomplish more. Maybe I need to aim high (or low in this case) to give me a getter chance of getting there. My goals: Onderland: 180 (over one hundred pounds gone forever): 160 (skinnier than I've been in 20 years): 140-145 : OMG! I just up dated my ticker and realized that If I reach my goal I will have lost an entire person / half of my weight. Yep that is deffinitely my new goa!!!! What are your weight goals and how did you pick them?

Just go through and hit multiquote and then when you are done hit quote on one of them. Then all of the quotes will pull to your reply and you can put comments inbetween them. Easy, Peasy, japanesy :biggrin:

Penny, I LOVE you signature! My husband mentioned I was having surgery to some out of town freinds. They live in Denver and that is where I am having surgery. So of course when they asked about it I told him. I was very angry with hubby. I have had a couple of times that I thought of sharing it with a friend and now I know I made the right decision. This is very personal to me. There are only 2 people that know that live close to me. My husband and my doctor. Maybe after I am successful I will tell people, but I really don't know.

I had my nutritional phone consult on Monday and my phone consult with Dr. Kirshenbaum today. He was great to talk to. I have 3 weeks to go. I can't believe it. It is really starting to get to the home stretch. I start my pre-op diet in one week. I wish it was already here.....but then I wonder if 3 weeks is enough time to get ready. Just curious. Are you just not hungry? Hard to get stuff down? I have heard sip throughout the ENTIRE day. If you are not at a meal you should be sipping liquids. I don't know if that helps. Let us know how your dr. appt goes.

Colace is just a stool softner. I wouldn't worry about it. They should ask before surgery what meds you have taken since midnight. I can't imagine it would make a difference, but if you are worried let them know.

I'm glad you like them. I HATE them. Lane Bryant took away the only pair of jeans that ever fit me and replaced them with "Right Fit" pants that don't fit me. I can't wait to find jeans I like again.

So there is the big question.... Have you decided to get the Realize band or the Lap band. What made you decide?
