    What CAN you eat?

I know exactly what you are talking about! I had been wondering why I could eat bread and other things when everyone said they couldn't. Well, after my last fill, I'm always trying to find something I CAN eat. Chicken just doesn't work at all anymore. Neither does beef unless it's shredded and I'm very loose. So sick of yogurt and cottage cheese. Haven't found a really good protein mixture, but still trying. Have just seen a few suggestions, but keep them coming! Getting frustrated!
  4. Hi, saw your user name. Just wondering if you are in the Austin area too? If so, we should compare notes. I'm in Georgetown.

    Bander to be

Congratulations! I felt the same way. Was so scared, but now after two months, I'm so happy and know it was the right thing! It's great, and the surgery was not a bad experience at all! Good luck - hope you get your date soon!
  6. Hey! You must be from Texas because everyone here calls it "Ren Faire"!!! Do you do the one down by Houston, or the one S. of Dallas?

    fill at surgery question

Thanks for the info.! My doc explained how some people have to have some fill to hold the band in place because of the size. Like one guy didn't have any because his stomach was larger for the band to go around, or something like that. Anyway, I just want enough restriction to actually feel it after about a 1/2 C of food (or at least that's what I've heard should be all I should take in). I'm getting hungry not long after a meal, which I think is "mouth hunger" and not real hunger. Can anyone suggest a thread or topic where I can find out what people are eating - and amounts? Thanks!!

    fill at surgery question

Had 11 cc band put in on 8/4/08. There were 5 cc in band initially. At first fill, doctor put in one additional cc, so now have 6. Don't feel any restriction much. Can't wait till next fill. I think I can eat too much.
