Had my surgery Jan 24th, yesterday I was able to get 32oz of water and 20g of protein down. Tomorrow is day 3 and I am on stage 2 modified soft foods. I’m down 10lbs already but I did have a bowel movement yesterday. The gas sucks! But I was able to walk a block yesterday slowly and got a lot out…then took a 2hour nap afterwards. Today I feel better just sore -
I only had to do 1 day liquid diet because I lost 35lbs before surgery at least that’s what he told me. I did have a dietitian meeting however the booklet they gave us is super confusing. I was able to clear it up with the dietitian and she helped me figure it out. I had surgery yesterday and it went well just this gas ugh

I have to do a liquid diet tomorrow (day before surgery) and I am realizing I did not get everything I should for this 🤦♀️ anyways my surgeon said liquid diet, protein shakes are ok. That’s it. So can I have my decaf coffee with milk, or yogurt? Fruit or veggie smoothie? Jello? I have broths, Gatorade zero, decaf coffee, water but that’s it.

He didn’t, that’s why I asked lol. But I only need to do a liquid diet today (day before pre-op)

I have my surgery on Wednesday and I am TERRIFIED!!! the surgeon went over all the risks and I died inside but I am still going through with it!

I have been wanting surgery after I finished breastfeeding my son, but my BMI is too high, so WLS will help with that! My boobs are already empty and sad lol I breastfed two children for 16m each and they never recovered 😭 so I’m hoping the little I do have just stay put till I get surgery -
I am the exact say way, I am trying to learn to be happy with what I achieve in the now and not keep looking forward to what's next..its been a struggle my whole life

YEP!! I graduate with my business degree this summer. I am terrified about finally finishing school and not having that a part of my identity anymore. Getting a new job in my new body. Will it bring more harm than good to my relationship? What will my kids think? I should be excited but I honestly panicking.

I am already looking up "what is the trend" because I do not know! I am a tshirt cardigan and jeans type gal at work. On the weekends I am in yoga pants and tshirts, so I would love to buy a few pieces that are like "wow" -

Were about the same height and wow you dropped so much in such a little amount of time!! I started about 40lbs heavier than you too. Its encouraging! Thrift or Ross might be my friend too lol -

I have Kaiser and when I talked to the nurse who booked my appt, she told me that with the sleeve I get to home same day, but the bypass you have to stay the night. Anyone got to go home same day?

okay! I was definitely going to take 2weeks off, however I was kinda thinking of extending for 4 weeks. I am in school, work full time and have 3 kids. So I feel like I may need to get a handle on everything along with the new way of eating and how tired I may be?
