    I Need Help

Okay readers, here's one for you. I got banded a year ago this past May. I have lost 45lbs. I don't know when or where, I stopped caring or became discourged. I had a total of four fills. At first I felt the restriction but it seem like two or three weeks later, it's like I had no fills done at all. I drink a protein drink in the mornings and I drink water or juice with protein until about 4 p.m. then I eat a little something. Like meat, vegatables and maybe pinto beans. (this changes daily. This is an example) About 8 or 9 p.m I may eat a half bowl of frozen yogart. I weight myself every morning and either I weight the same or may have lost or gained one pound. This goes on for weeks of just being at the same spot. Like I'm maintaining weight. I want to lose! I keep saying I'm going on a protein drink diet only but by the time I start getting hungry around 4 or 5 p.m. There went that thought and I eat something. I think I have given up. I'm at a stand still and getting frustrated. It's like I have given up and don't want to fight anymore. I even started telling myself I have to lose more for my school reunion in two months thinking that would moviate me but each day I still eat and drink the same old thing. I don't exercise. I work and I have said all the walking and standing I do on the job is enough especially since I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis. In the past few months I have really had a lot of flair-ups that cause me a lot of pain. So exercising is far from my mind. My doctor said to keep a record of what I eat. I did that. Then he said go on protein drink for three days. I did that. May lose one or two lbs. then back to losing, gaining or just staying the same weight. Have I stretched my band after the fills. I forgot to mention that for the couple of weeks after the fills if the food doesn't want to go down I do have to bring it back up so I get some restriction. But it seems like two or three weeks later, It seem like I'm overeating and could have stretched the band each time I eat. What should I do?
  6. Has anyone found the instructions to the Lap-Band pedometer? Please can someone help me. I have no idea how to get the thing to work. I mostly want it for the number of steps . Thanks in advance.

    Hello From Oklahoma!

Hello; thanks for replying. Good luck to you when you do have the surgery. I'm in the southwest part of Okla. Good luck to you!
  9. Hello I am scheduled for surgery October 1st, and I am extremely nervous

  10. Did anyone get a Pedometer with a f.m. radio from Lap-Band when you had your surgery? In my folder from my doctors office when I had my band surgery, was a free pedometer with radio if you filled out a questionaire form. I did that and one was sent to me. However, I misplaced the instructions and have not a clue how to work the darn thing! The doctor office is out of the forms where I probably could email or call them. If anyone has one could you please help me out on figuring out how to use it. Thanks in advance.
  11. Hello to all; I'm new to this site and so far I have enjoyed reading everything. I had my band done May 22. Have lost about thirty pounds. I do have questions that I will share later. To all, have a good day!

    Feeling Very Sad

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and I have enjoyed reading what others had to say. I do need some answers concerning the band. I had mine done May 22 and have lost thirty pounds. My concern is: I think this is too slow and I've had three fills. I am scheduled to have a fourth fill on the 25th of this month. If I have this fill done and it is too tight, what side effects will happen? I must admit that some days I don't feel hungry, I don't eat or I will eat something like mashed potatoes and green beans. Here goes the excuses! I work and stand on my feet my whole shift and walking is done alot on my job. I have RA (rheumatoid arthritis ) very badly and when I get home I go right to bed because of tireness and hurting. When I get up and hour and a half later, I cook for the family and so exercising is out for me. A few times I did force myself to ride the bike I have, pain and all! Could this be why I'm not losing more weight? Anyone have any quick recipes I can put together so I can eat and still lose weight. I do try and get my protein drinks in each day. I know potatoes and green beans is too much and I need something else to eat, but it just seem like a quick fix for me being so tired. Please help! Barbara 48
