This morning I got on my scale and hit the exact halfway point toward my first goal. I can't wait to see where I am when I get to the first anniversary of my surgery. My ideal weight is in the 190's somewhere. But I will be thrilled to hit my initial goal of 210 or below.

Many of the counter service places have options for your sides. You can get veggies or fruit instead of fries in most cases. Also if you call Disney in advance they can provide menu information for you. In each place they have some sort of healthy option available. Plus they all have a kids menu too. Here is a page that will help you a lot. WDW Dining Special Requests It has a listing of some quick service places that can accommodate most dietary requirements.

overnight stay or not
TBLightningFan replied to wvgal33's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is there a cab service in the area? Do you have a co-worker or neighbor you trust or anyone that can take you home? Even if you had to pay a co-worker a few bucks for gas. -
Are We ready for a Black President?
TBLightningFan replied to TheWatcher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You need to read my comments more carefully before you put words in my mouth. I did not say thats why the candidates are running or why they chose a running mate. I stated my opinion that unfortunately its what some voters will be voting for. Too many people already vote without knowing a single thing about any candidate. Some people don't even vote for a candidate, they vote for the R or D that is next to their name on the ballot. I know that there will be a voters out there that will vote based on race or sex. It's unfortunate, but they exist. -
overnight stay or not
TBLightningFan replied to wvgal33's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They wont handcuff you to the hospital, but when they ask you before hand they can refuse to perform the surgery unless you have arrangements. Also remember that driving while on pain meds is not safe and can get you into trouble. Everyone handles surgery differently. While one person may be able to pull off driving, many others cannot. The hospital has to err on the safe side. What will you do if you are well enough for discharge but do not feel capable of driving? While I felt fine after surgery on the 24th, the ride home the next day was awful. My insides felt every single little bump and groove in the road. My Dr. will not allow me to drive for at least 5-7 days. Right now, I can feel why. -
One Day Post Op- Can hardly tell I had surgery
TBLightningFan replied to AnnenOrange's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good to hear that you felt great after surgery. I felt good, but not that good. Here on day 3 I almost feel normal again. I can still feel some empty space in my abdomen and cant wait for that gas to empty. It gets better everyday. -
overnight stay or not

I was glad to be at the hospital. I felt better not to be rushed home. Plus it was good to know if any complication arose I would already be there. -
Any September Banders?
TBLightningFan replied to Keleka's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just got home from my overnight stay at the hospital. The surgery went well and I am happy to be home. I was surprised to wake up to almost no pain and didn't run into any the first night at all. The only pain I had was in my back because of my position on the bed in the PACU. This second day is a bit rougher.. but not bad. The Loritab liquid takes care of any pain within a couple minutes. I guess its all better from here!!! I am so far able to handle 5oz each hour. Alternating between a shake and other liquid each hour. So far so good. -

blood thinner shots?
TBLightningFan replied to Pradice73's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not looking forward to the shots... but it is a good precaution. I'm more worried about the surgery only because I have never had one before.
