    Need advice

Sometimes after you get stuck, your stomach becomes irritated and inflamed. I would give it time to rest and stick with clear liquids until you can get in touch with your Dr. Eating anymore food at this point will likely make your problem worse. I know I have certain times when for no reason my band feels tighter, and food doesn't work. After a day or two on clears I am back to normal. Hope you feel better!

    One year later...

Wow, Congrats!!! So So happy for you. I think what you said in your third paragraph is SOOO key. People seem so ready to give up if they don't loose quickly, and thats not how it should be. Congrats again!
  15. Good to hear everything went well! Stay on top of your pain meds for the first few days! Take care:)

  16. Let us know how you are doing as soon as you are up to it:)

  18. Hey all. I just passed my 3 month bandiversary and adore my band. I am 65 pounds down. Wow how life has changed! I have a question for bandsters who have had their weight off for a while. And in advance, sorry, it's a question about loose skin. :blushing: Just wondering if you have found once you got to goal if your skin tightened up a bit as it adjusted to your weight loss, or if it pretty much stayed the same? I realize this is dependant on many things, just looking for others experiences. Thanks! Melissa:tongue2:
  19. Good luck! I just noticed it's your surgery day tomorrow!! Yay!

  20. Thanks for stopping by, and for your sweet compliment!

  21. Thank you all so much for your support and feedback! Much appreciated:) Audjbr: To answer your questions, I did loose 10 pounds pre-op, but the rest was post op weight loss. As for what I have done to loose so quickly? Im not sure:) I am quite tall (5'10) and my starting weight was around 300 pounds. So I think sometimes the heavier you start, the more rapidly you seem to loose weight initially. I do work out almost daily from 30 mins to an hour, and trying to eat high quality foods. To be honest I think the best thing I have done Is take all the pressure off of myself. I used to be so hard on myself before I had the band, when I would try to loose weight and fail. Now I don't care what the scales says, I am just trying to be the healthiest person I can be:) Good luck!

    0 pounds in 6 days!

Agreed with above. This is your new life, a new way of living. Relax, take time to heal. Don't be so hard on yourself. I am 3 months post op, and work out everyday, and eat well and there are still weeks I don't loose. Honestly, I don't care, I am focused on the big picture. So take care of yourself, and don't worry:)
  24. I'm at my sweet spot, and have been stuck maybe once. It shouldn't be something that happens a lot, not good for your band.

    60g protein a day?

I am all about the protien shakes in the morning too. I dont find I get at all hungry as some have said that they slip through your band. I make mine with milk for a little more protien. So I start the day with about 35 grams of protien. Works really well for me!
