Hi I had the old type of sleeve 15 years ago and it did not work , I had it removed 18 months later. I have many friends that have the band and they all have problems. Either too tight and throw up all the time of too loose and gaining weight, port flipping and band slippage. One fiend just had to have polups removed from the inside of her stomach where the band is. I did not want to be tied to a doctor the rest of my life for adjustments. I am not happy with my sleeve right now because I am at 6 weeks today and I had a 10 oz marie calenders pot pie for lunch and I was not over full. Not sure what I am going to do. Everyone says eat only hard meat , if I could do that I would not need the wls. thanks judy

Hi I had the old style band 15 yrs ago it did not work and I had it removed 19 mo later. Everyone I know with the band have trouble like either its to tight and they throw up all the time or not tight enough and they gain. I do not want to be tied to a doctor the rest of my life to get adjustments. I went with the sleeve for that reason. I wish I had had the mini bypass now. I can eat 8-10 oz at 6 weeks today. the other people I have spoken with can only eat 2-4 so I am not loosing any weight . I may have to go back and be converted to the mini bypass. I am not happy right now with anything wls related . good luck judy
