Has anyone used the IT Works wraps?? I ordered a box of 4 last night and they'll be arriving next week!! They're supposed to reduce cellulite, stretch marks and make me lose inches!! I'm mostly wanting them for the stretch mark and cellulite benefits, I have a lot of stretch marks on my stomach and don't think I'll ever be able to wear a bikini even if I do lose all my weight!! If anyone has used them I'd love to hear feedback!!! XOXO

Just thought I'd let everyone know, I used the wrap!! I was skeptical to start with but, I've really noticed a difference!!! My big issue is the stretch marks, they're not gone but the color has certainly started to fade and my stomach area has really firmed up! I do go to the gym but can't seem to get rid of my flab! This has really helped!! Xo

Bloated-4 days since being banded
niekalee replied to KoKoMack's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got re-banded on October 4th!! Only today have I felt like I can actually walk or suck my stomach in, I've had so much gas that I've felt miserable and totally uncomfortable, it's gotten better today and the only pain or uncomfortableness I have is where the incisions are, so I'm very happy. I've only been taking panadol solueable but didn't take any yesterday and now feel good, so I guess for me it was time that eased my pain. I hope everything gets better for you!!!! -
Unfilled and now even tighter than before
niekalee replied to BubblyGirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had the exact same problem, I went in for x-rays and they discovered my pouch had stretched so now I'm going in for my band to be repositioned! You should ask them whether this could be the case with yours?? Hope everything goes ok!! Xo -
Don't be scared!! Life only gets that much better after lapband!! I was 18 when I had it done, I'm now 21 and am so greatful everyday that I had the courage to go through with it! You'll have your ups and downs but for the most part it'll be all worth it in the end! Have fun with it!!
-
I actually have to go back in and have my band repositioned because my pouch has stretched, it's stretched so much that it won't reverse on it's own. I'd always thought that if it had stretched I could go on liquids and it would go back, my Dr. said it won't, so it's interesting to see what other Dr's have said!

After three years I STILL feel like I need to eat huge amounts! I will still serve myself the same amount of food that everyone else is eating, it's such a mental thing, just like you said, Agdunkle!

Hello! I was just wondering whether anyone elses pouch has stretched and have needed surgery?? A bit about me.... I'm 21 years old and I've had the band since November 2008, my starting weight was 116 and I'm now down to 75 (give or take a couple of kilos, I fluctuate!). My goal is 65! My problem is, almost 2 weeks ago, I had all the Fluid taken out of my band and now still I am having trouble eating, it's becoming more and more uncomfortable for me to eat, even after only a small amount, after seeing my doctor he has sent me off for x-rays (which I'm having on Wednesday) and said that he's checking to see if the pouch has stretched, because I shouldn't be getting the heart burn and so much restriction. I know it's only 2 days away but I'm worried that I'll have to go back in for them to re-position the band. So I guess my question is... 1. Who's had this same problem and who's had to have it repositioned? 2. How was your weight affected, did you gain or lose weight? Can't wait to hear back from you all XOX

Ooooohhh. I have so many things I want to do when I'm skinny!! I'm always saying, 'when I'm skinny'.. I cannot wait to wear a bikini!! and I'd love to be able to wear high heels!! I can wear them now but I feel like a giant, because I'm quite tall aswell I just feel huge, when I'm skinny I'll just feel tall, not that extra giant weight! I'd also love a photoshoot! and a tattoo to signify I've lost the weight!! Goodluck everyone!!:glare:

Somemthing i've been wondering - college students
niekalee replied to Odjii's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey I had my surgery a week before my end of year exams and I found the only problem was that the wounds were still quite tender and I'd been having panick attacks and had to try and calm myself down in the exam. But as far as walking etc. I'm sure you'll be fine, it's quite tender for a week I'd say but after that it's just a nuiscance more than anything. Goodluck!!! -
Hey. I'm exactly the same, I've had my band since last November, so around 7 months. I've lost around 10 or 11 kgs, and am completely discouraged, It's been so much harder for me than I thought it would be. I know the big thing for me is that I'm not eating properly, I don't eat for my full 20 minutes and often skip lunch and snack. I went to see my dietician a week ago and she told me that's probably the reason I'm not losing the weight like I should be!

Hi Dave, I've signed up to your site. I like it and its awesome you've made it for us. I'm stil getting used to using it though  I hope more of us can get on there!! -
WOW! Andrea & RestlessMonkey! I came on here this morning cause I was feeling sooo guilty, and I read what you guys had written and nearly cried. Now I feel hopeful again, I haven't lost weight in a while, only fluctuating between 97.5 and 98.5. Thankyou guys so much for posting that :scared2: Andrea, I would never have admitted I was failing, I'd be too scared to say anything incase people had a go at me, you are sooo brave! Has anything changed for you? Are you feeling better about it now? XO

Just wondering about MILK? 1. Is it bad for us? I've been having coffees everytime I feel hungry, lowfat milk tho. Is that really bad? I only have max 3 a day. 2. If we're not supposed to drink while we eat, what about milk in our Cereal? I drink the milk by itself inbetween bites of the cereal. I don't think I was ever told not to drink milk, I know the dietician said to not drink my calories, so fruit juice etc. was bad, but I can't remember what she said about milk. What do you guys do? xo

I'm not banded, my 19 year old daughter is - help!
niekalee replied to lapbandmom89's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi, I'm 18years old and I had the band in November 08'. I've lost 10kgs so far but that was in the 2 weeks before the surgery and the few weeks after, since then i've hardly lost any and am starting to feel quite disheartened and have wondered whether i should also go back to dieting (shakes, pills etc.) I'd loveeee to talk to you daughter, I have no one my age that has the band and am not really into going to group meetings. (I know I'm big but I don't really like admitting it to a group of people). Let me know if she'd be interested, we could motivate each other :) <3 Danieka x -
Hey  I've just started using FitDay.com and I'm not sure how many calories I'm supposed to be having. xo

Awww. Wow! Thanks so much for that, it was quite painful converting everything and putting everything in! Is there alot of people from Melbourne on here? I'd love to talk to people that are close by. Thanks again for your help. x

Did anyone get a tattoo after getting banded that symbolizes ur success?
niekalee replied to glamischick's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
wow! I've been wanting a tattoo that signifies being banded too. Everyone always says to get something that actually means something to you, and this is something that means alot to me. I've been thinking about maybe a butterfly, symbolising being free and 'light' and careless. I'm still not sure though either. Let me know if you get any other good ideas xo -
I got the band put in yesterday! 18/11/08 I am extremely excited, but didn't expect to be in so much pain as what I'm in! :rolleyes2: YAY! XO

I just saw what you wrote at the bottom  You were there with your wife? That's soo 'cute' that you guys are doing it together. I was at the back, with my mum and boyfriend. It's great that you guys have each other for support during it and after it. Wow! :rolleyes2: Do you think the seminar/talk helped you come to a decision? -

Yes! I was there at 7:30, I probably saw you. It was such a great night, I really enjoyed it and it made it so much more clearer. The whole team of people were really nice too. How'd you find it? -

MAD DOG, Is your meeting at Knox somewhere? I have one tonight aswell  :rolleyes2: -
Hi again, Just a question! I’m booked in to see the doctor on the 6th of October, my BMI is 37 and if it gets below 35 then I more than likely won’t be able to get the band. I’m feeling so anxious because I don’t want to lose weight and be denied the band (even though losing weight naturally would probably be better, and cheaper) but I feel miserable looking the way I do. What should I do? x

great idea! Thankyou for your help  x
