Gone for Good Club - August 2006
MiaHalliwell replied to PhotoNut's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well as usual, I see an improvement on thursday (today) when it is not weigh in day, I hope I have an even bigger loss to report next wednesday. Also, the doctor's scale decided to agree with mine today. 2 weeks ago my scale said one thing and theirs said 3 lbs more.I was not happy. My scale is pretty consistant but theirs seems to be off. I go by my scale. Anyway, I got a fill today now I have 3.1 cc in my 4 cc band. I think I actually feel some restriction. I could have kicked my doctor though. I am going to post on that because I really need to vent about it and here isn't the place, so look for my thread titled "Why didn't he listen?" And let me know how you would have felt. Thanks in advance. -

Not that I want to get involved, but I heard it as "actions speak louder than words." -
Pills are ok and motrin is ok once in a while, just make sure that you eat first before taking them. The issue of Motrin came up for me recently and my office said that I could take them once in a great while but anything more and I would have to be on a proton pump inhibitor. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I am checking in. I was 187 this morning, but I bet tomorrow I will be down, thats just how things work for me. According to my ticker that puts me up 2.2 lbs. I am getting a fill tomorrow so please pray for me that next week will bring smaller numbers. I really want to get out of the 180's. I have been stuck between 185 and 188 for weeks now. IT SUCKS!!! LOL -
3 fills and still not enough restriction

I am going for my 4th fill tomorrow cross your fingers for me, LOL. I really feel no different but I do notice that I can not eat a huge meal anymore, but I can still eat a fair amount. Sometimes I do it accidentally. I am thinking that I might actually try measuring my foor and see how 1/2 a cup does for me. -
That was the greatest post I ever read!!! My step mom is a personal trainer, I have to have her read this post, LOLOLOL!!!

I definately won't bother the office until the alotted time because hopefully it will kick in. I guess I am just a touch dissapointed that I don't feel it yet, LOL, and I have gained a couple of pounds that I thought were gone for good. -
Congrats Josette!!!

Minime, I missed you. I wish you would have emailed me. I am stuck again as well and have been trying to get a fill for weeks. I guess with the band being new to my office it takes a while to be well organized. I am going in the am for a fill tomorrow. I should have had it monday but I forgot and woke up and ate a little before I remembered, LOL. Email me if you want to chat. (((((Hugs))))

From last wednesdays weigh in I am down 1 lb. 185 lbs is what the scale reads this morning. My BMI is now 33.8. I have started cheerleading this week. My girls practice 3 days a week and I am doing all the cheers and moves with them. Plus I will be teaching them a competition routine that I have to finish making up. I am sweating like crazy when I work on it, so I know that I am moving well. Last cheer season (august 1- October 15th) I lost 9 lbs with no change to my bad eating habits. This year I hope to lose 15-20 with good eating habits, LOL. So, cheerleading is my creative way to excersize. -
I just bought a 14 foot trampoline for my daughter, well she bought it with her communion money. I was wondering what everyone's take is on bouncing for 30-40 minutes a day. My daughter bounced for 5 minutes and was winded, lol. I use to bounce on the trampoline at her gymnastics school and thought it was great cardio. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

No change for me. Yesterday I saw 185.8 though. I am not counting it since today is weigh in day. Still 186. -
I am a cheerleading coach for a Pop Warner program. I coach 7-9 yr olds. The kids are great and last year I lost 9 lbs with only the activity that comes from doing the cheers and routine with the girls over and over again, LOL. I didn't even change my eating habits. This year I hope to drop more with the activity and new eating habits.

I am still at 186 lbs, but I went up 3 lbs last week and I am back to where I was, so I'm good with that. Next week will be better. -
I have had 2 fills and I don't think I ever swelled, but I do feel small restriction in the AM, I don't feel like I need to eat, lol. I feel like I can be a garbage can at times, lol. I am getting a fill this week. Give it some time because I didn't notice the slight restriction for a few weeks after my last fill. Good luck huggs

I am a Christmas fanatic as well and I LOVE that movie. It is a tradition that we watch it on Thanksgiving and a couple of other times before Christmas. Any idea how much the house costs? My goal is to be to my half way point wich is 165 lbs. 41 lbs, if not more. I love to decorate, inside and out. We have Christmas Eve at my Grandmother's and Christmas dinner here at my house. I have the biggest house out of all of my family members. I don't have any cute stories except that on Christmas eve of 2000 I had 1 pull-up left for my daughter and told my hubby that we needed to get more and we never needed to buy any more. That was my daughter's gift to me that year. :biggrin1:

What has been your "Wow" moment since you started your weight loss journey?
MiaHalliwell replied to ousooner's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had a wow moment this weekend. I am in nursing school and when we are on clinical at the hospital we have a uniform that we have to wear. Last year, I bought a new set of uniforms for my second year. I had to buy an XL because the L was getting real tight and uncomfortable for me. I didn't have to wear my uniform for at least 3 or 4 months and I wore the XL to clinical yesterday and my friend said that I looked like I was swimming in it, LOL. I wore the L today and it wasn't tight in the arms or anything. I didn't try the pants, but those will be next, LOL. I should graduate in december, by then I had better be swimming in the large, LOL. -
I actually just put one on lay-away at walmart. I didn't buy it then because they didn't have any in stock. It is a little nerve wrecking because my oldest son is a little wreckless and all I need is for him to bounce my 8 yr old daughter off of it. I keep reminding him that if he doesn't calm down that he will have to get off. He is 14 and thinks he is in control of things, LOL. I got on there yesterday with no kids at home for the first time and it was great. Usually the minute I get on I am joined by all 3 of my kids and I do play with them to an extent, but it is nice to have the whole thing to yourself, hehehe:biggrin1: .
