thank you all for responding with such kindness and concern. the reason i have had to wait so long is at my 6 wks i was out of state for the holidays and my doc didn't want to fill it prior to my leaving. once i came back the 28th was the first appt i could get. i've been going crazy. I know i'll get right back on track but it has been hard doing this alone. i sincerely appreciate everyone who wrote me. best wishes for a wonderful new year as healthier and happier 2009!

hi everyone this is my very 1st post on this site. i had totally forgotten about it :thumbup: i'm usually on OH but not really happy with the new form. i was banded on 10-20-08 :smile:, LOST 36lbs & have had no problems to speak of. i won't get my 1st fill until 1-28 which i can't wait! i'm needing major motivation to exercise. that is what i've been lacking. i know i can do it but it's just getting started again. i also need to be reminded of the good band foods. i guess i'm asking everyone for a swift kick in the rear:tongue2: today i got great news from my pcp. my aic is 5.8 whewww whooo colesteral 160 lbl 80 so i'm doing great but could be doing soooooooooooo much better. thank you for listening Allegra

Congrats!!!!!!!! it's very sad about your family not supporting you and your decision to become healthy. i've lost 36 lbs from 326 start weight and already my diabetes AIC is at 5.8 :thumbup: it was never that high but it was still there and now it's non-existant! i am so happy for anyone making this choice. God Bless you and i know you will be happy with your decision. i have never felt better. my daughter came down to be with me during my surgery and of course wanted all our favorite restaraunts so i had that to put up with but i would never change this for the world. last year i chickened out, decided i could do it alone and lost 2 whole lbs in 1 year!!!! Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress.
