@pintsizedmallrat nothing that tight dear. I choose life. Lol
-
You look wonderful dear. Keep up the great work. I just took a look at that article that was tagged. I should be able to handle spanx. I will give it a try. Nothing too crazy right or touching my skin directly or on for hours either.

I don’t want any tight enough to take my breath away. Just enough to tuck everything in and medium firm hold it together. Basically girdle vibes.
-
Makes sense. I will just have to be patient of course. Thanks friends ❤️

Oh lord. I find it more difficult to sleep with it on now for some reason. I can’t stand it now. Before the surgery I was in love with it. Lol

That sounds like a bonus to eat healthy. It’s opposite here obviously. Lol I was a pescatarian for 8yrs and switched back because I couldn’t afford the food anymore. It was cheaper to go back to a carnivore. Smh -

Doesn’t the UK have sugar tax and restrictions on garbage being put in the food in that country? USA does really care what they put in our food and that may be why we have to restrict the we do before we are able to get a full meal. They don’t want our new stomach to be filled with crap too early? Lol idk. -
Ok great. Thanks for the suggestion

So I’m having a craving for peanut butter. One of my go to before pre op diet because I was cutting back my ice cream intake. But in general I’m in love with peanut butter. And I just want a scoop. Lol my mouth is watering just typing about it. Lol Help please!

Peanut butter during 14 day liquid diet
MsTeeTee replied to MsTeeTee's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Due to my glucose being unstable I was told by my doctor to drink water diluted protein shakes during my liquid phase. I am a type 2 diabetic and my glucose was doing a roller coaster for two days. 110 to 70 to 40 and under in less than 30 minutes. I definitely like your recipe but I’m not allowed to have any blended drinks with added stuff like fruits. No smoothies. Just protein shakes. but thanks for the recipe! I will definitely ask if I can do it later on in another phase. -

Oh yeah! A peanut butter protein shake. Omg thank you! I have a tub of peanut butter powder in the pantry. I will make one tomorrow for breakfast. Thanks for the reminder. -

Oh no. Not my peanut butter. I’m not going to ask I know what they will say. Lol I’m just in denial. I really want peanut butter. The rest of the other food smells in the house don’t bother me at all surprisingly. I’m just craving peanut butter. Lol -
@Fred in Pa I had the manual meter until I got Dexcom. I’m going to have my primary care do a new prescription for me. I don’t have the funds to pay for it out of pocket anymore. But it does look like im going to have to go back to manual for a while to calibrate it more often.
-
I have an update. So I went to to the hospital yesterday because my Dexcom kept screaming at me that my glucose was 40 and under. I was told to drink apple juice but it only allowed it to go back up for 5-10 minutes and dropped again. And also gave me the dumps. I was so scared and frustrated that I called my Doctor but I could only leave a message. I was already at the hospital by the time I got a response so I continued to the hospital. My doc said to drink diluted protein shakes only at this time for hydration. The hospital told me something is wrong with my Dexcom and that I should either replace it or do manual glucose checks. Personally I’ve never had my Dexcom go crazy like that. Ever. And I’ve worn it for almost 2yrs now. This is the first time it’s done it and it just so happened to be immediately after my surgery. So of course I’m going to trust my Dexcom. During the hospital visit the alarm went off 3 more times and then it stopped and gave me a better reading between 70-120. The hospital also gave me apple juice to drink but i barely sipped it because I didn’t want the dumps to come back. My glucose was still stable so after all of that and I was discharged. I’m back home I feel fine. My glucose is finally holding.

@Mike.J.Y practicing breathing thru the pain helps a lot too instead of holding it in. I normally grunt and hold my breath. But a slow deep breath in and out during painful moments also helps me out a lot.
-
The pain can be intense. I will definitely be different for everyone I’m sure. It was different for me because apart of nerve blocking medication did not cover my upper left portion of my abdomen. Only thing that was helping the pain was the oxy. Now I’m ok with Tylenol.
-
I’m going home today. Actually right now. I’m feeling better now. I can manage the pain with Tylenol for sure. Crampy pain and spasms. But it’s definitely something I can deal with at home.

I’ve tried Metformin in the past and almost went to the hospital from the stomach pain. It was horrendous. But I’m sure they will find something to put me on. Thanks again dear. I appreciate it.

@SleeveToBypass2023 wow. That is truly amazing. I fussed so much about getting my ozempic shot back because the pill version had my A1c on a roller coaster. Now I can’t even take it anymore. Lol I’m just going to accept everything gracefully. Thanks for your advice and sharing your story
-
@Fred in Pa wow that’s crazy. I’m glad you made it thru. I have a Dexcom on. But I guess my glucose was dropping to rapidly it couldn’t catch up. It was off by 10 high or low every time they checked it. I’m going to ask for mints or maybe glucose candy just in case it drops again. I will make sure I ask my doctor. Thanks

@ChunkCat I was told to take my ozempic shot. And now I don’t feel like that was the best idea. And that was from a medical professional. Not a googled question.
