  1. So I am 8 months in and down a considerable amount of weight I was at 388 and am now at 267. It’s been a rough road. For several months I could only eat yogurt and drink protein shakes or I would throw up. Well that ended up being from the rapid weight loss causing my gallbladder to act up. I ended up getting my gallbladder out. I would like to say I don’t throw up anymore but that’s not the case. I still struggle with proteins. Poultry is the worst. I also can’t eat low carb high protein wraps or pasta. Before my gallbladder surgery they also checked to see if I needed my esophagus stretched but that was fine. For a long time i regretted the surgery. I’m definitely not at that place anymore but it’s definitely not been easy. I was just wondering if anyone else has the issue with poultry. Best of luck to everyone.
  2. I had surgery May 10 and am down around 134 pounds. I still have about 70 pounds to go.

    Dumping more than eating

So I had my bypass on May 10th. I have puked and puked. They did a endoscopy everything was fine. So my surgeon had a ultrasound of my gallbladder done the same day. It showed gallstones and sludge. She said this is common with rapid weight loss. So last Wednesday I had my gallbladder removed and she repaired two hernias and I have one more hernia they are putting off fixing until I finish losing weight. I’m so frustrated, I was really excited because I made homemade chicken noodle soup with a little bit of Turkey sandwich. Well I only had a couple bites and puked that up too. I’ve lost almost 90 pds but I’m tired of being sick. I go for my post op check Wednesday maybe it’s just to soon.
  4. I lost a lot of hair, good thing it was really thick to begin with. But I still color my hair. It’s not been worse after coloring. Hope that helps.
  5. Hi everyone! I had gastric bypass on May 10th. I have lost 60 pounds. I struggle because even this far out ( almost 3 months) I puke a lot which is really discouraging. I’m existing on high protein Greek yogurt, protein shakes, baked and mashed potatoes. I can eat some ground beef. No bread, chicken, eggs and several other things. My surgeon says it’s normal and to just reintroduce foods again later. I do not want to be regretful but sometimes I am. Anyway just being transparent and looking for encouragement. I am happy with the weight loss though. I just don’t want to exist on yogurt the rest of my life. 😌
