Hi there -I totally agree with you- I had my surgery nearly 4 years ago with Advanced Cosmetics Surgery and paid over 10k for the procedure- when I went for my first fill I found that the company had closed down or should I say that it was closed down- My surgeon Dr Jerome Manuceau was disbarred from practising in Ireland as a lady died on his operating table???? I had paid 10k and ACS were no longer there for any post operative backup -including fills- As a u may know the industry is not regulated so there was nothing I could do- Eventually The Hospital Group gave me fills but I had to pay for them and the support was really bad- I wouldn't mind but I was going to go abroad for my banding but thought that if there were problems I would be better off at home- Murphys Law Eh! I am doing ok with the banding but I am still having problems with vomiting and getting the proper nutrients into my body- Don't know what to do now or where to go for help? Maybe we could get together and have a chat Moira

CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE- i was banded by asc and dr jerome in march 2007- i don't know how many fills i have had but at the moment i can't get any one to fill me- i can't seem to get my medical records to see what band was used and how many fills i have had- when acs were around they filled me 3 times then when the group sold to the uk they unfilled me and filled me again -but don't know with how much- at the moment i need a fill as i have no restriction and the weight is starting to pile on- i lost nearly 4 stone and don't want this to escalate- please help- Moira

Hi- just joined today- had my surgery done in march 07 with acs and the infamous jerome- i rang a solicitor re the situation with acs and they would not take my case as they say there is nothing they can do as the company is gone into liquidation and there are no common directors with the hospital group to chase???? i rang acs last week re a fill and they told me that i would have to go to belfast and pay for the pleasure-they say they have a long list of clients who need a fill so i am on a waiting list and the uk office will ring me when they can give me an appointment- this is such a joke- imagine paying 10k for an operation and then receiving no aftercare- by the way when i spoke to the solicitor he gave me the name Dr Justin Geoghegan who specialises in banding in loughlinstown and if u can get a letter of referral from ur gp he will put u on his list and treat u-his list is very long- did u hear anything about debbie having a new practice on pearse street in dublin? let me know if there is anything i can do - re meetings, lobbying etc- i didn't know anything about meetings etc- and there must be plenty of other ex patients like me out there- has anyone contacted that guy in the daily mail who did the article on acs? talk soon M
