July 2023 Surgery Buddies UPDATES!!!
Inspectorjh84 replied to Inspectorjh84's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well I guess I will go first and see if the July Peeps will update. As of Today I’m down 45 lbs and have 37 lbs to go. Lately I stalled for about a week at 223 lbs, but got through that last night with an insane workout day. Seems harder and harder to lose a single pound. Yesterday burned 4700 calories and ate around 800-1000 calories. Recovery went extremely fast for me thankfully. Hopefully 🤞 I won’t need yesterdays effort to continue to lose…. Lol 😂 -

How do I know when I'm full?? - 1 week post-op
Inspectorjh84 replied to melanieinamumu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get that weird runny nose as well. Instead of how I used to feel like full deep in my stomach, now my full feeling is like at the top of my chest and sternum, like I can feel the food filling up my throat. I generally eat like 3 oz and just stop now before I get the full feeling because I don't like walking around too full. -
Gentlemen, Dating in the USA is pretty hard. Lots of very entitled women, and none of them want to be be good moms and home makers anymore. I have joined the Passport Bro's and have been dating in Latin America where the Divorce Rate is only 30%, Specifically Costa Rica, and Colombia. Gentlemen, I highly encourage utilizing your money and Talent outside of Western Countries. You will have a much better time, and get much more quality women. I mean no offense to the ladies on here, hope you girls understand, to me it just seems too risky to date inside the USA anymore. All the best to the people looking here!

I am sure you will see after talking to a bunch of us. That having a bariatric surgery is but only one part of your whole weight loss journey. You still have to exercise, eat right, and get plenty of rest. Just like most people here say...the surgery is just one tool in your weight loss goals. For me over a 10 year period, I gained weight and lost it more than 4 times, and all the way down to like 200 lbs from 280. I never had trouble losing weight, its just that I could not maintain that weight loss long term, unless I was on a very strict diet. I am hoping that the Gastric Sleeve I got will help me be able to maintain the weight of 185 lbs this time. So I just don't agree with what some people say, that surgery is the easy way out. There is still a lot to losing weight and even going through the whole process of committing to the surgery and recovery. I think most of us were all crazy dieters before we decided on surgery...its just now we have another tool and we got some extra help we need.

Hey July buddies! Well I’m exactly one month passed my July 6th Gastric Sleeve. Hope everyone is doing well! I’m reporting 25 lbs down this morning very happy for the first month! No Stalls, yet. Only eating around 1000 calories a day, but burning more than 3600 every day. Lots of walking, can’t wait till the doctor says I can lift heavy weights again, my checkup is next week.

I practice eating a couple prunes every day, I think it helps keep everything moving. But yes the couple weeks after surgery are tough, and really tough stool and constipation, to be expected by all. But once you start eating solid foods again, it becomes normal once again. Still you have to think you are eating so much less than you used to. So if you want to stay on a regular schedule. I recommend prunes if you like eating them, and benefiber or something similar if you wanna add another supplement.

Did anyone NOT have a 3 week stall?
Inspectorjh84 replied to longhaul68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am actually 3.5 weeks out of surgery today. I have not stalled yet...22.5 pounds down. I don't see how a stall would be possible in my case...I am only eating about 600-800 calories a day, and feeling full. My calorie burn rate for the last week has been around 3600 calories per day with walks according to my fitbit. -

How did you select your goal weight?
Inspectorjh84 replied to Sigh's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My Goal weight (185) was just picked by the Normal Height and weight for 6' Tall guy. But I know from experience anytime I got down to about 205 lbs I thought I looked and felt great! I figure though this time I will probably make it down all the way to 185 lbs. -
Welcome Guru! Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are recovering pretty well for three days! Well my surgery was July 6th, completely recovered and feeling great. 20 Pounds down so far. Just about the end of the month for the July Surgery buddies. Hope everyone is doing well!
