A tiny Ribeye Steak...LOL

We had the surgery on the same day, got to say I don't really have incision pain anymore. But I also recovered a bit more quickly than most, according to my doctor. I found the more I move the better and better I am feeling. Its that mental thing sometimes...Plenty of sun around the country, get outside and get moving. Makes you feel a million times better.

Just wanted to check in with the July People. I had my Gastric Sleeve on July 6th. No Complications, as of today I am 14 lbs lights so thats 2 weeks after surgery. I had very mild pain, returned to work after 6 days. Check up with the doctor today and he says Im recovering well and quickly. I been stuck at 14 lbs lost for 3 days now, so I hope to break that this week. My goal for the Month is at least 20 lbs. I wish everyone else the speediest recovery and prayers as well. Kinda got to say...don't really like my Chewable vitamins that much....may need to look at other option/brands.

Lap Band: Am I Crazy to Consider It?
Inspectorjh84 replied to Rjc0704's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sorry about your loss my friend. The two people I know that had the lap band, had to have them removed. (Also they are both heavy today). The people I know with the Sleeve, look skinny and are doing well. (albeit one died, but it was due to bullet wounds) When I researched all the different surgeries, too me, the Sleeve seems to make the most sense. I think its a good thing that they don't touch the entry and exit to the stomach. I think either of those parts being altered could cause a lot of problems...i'm not a doctor, but as an engineer it make sense to me. I think the lap band location is problematic for your body, and the entrance to your stomach. IMHO the gastric sleeve seems to be the best thing until that day, they can create a medicine that changes your genetics to permanently not allow your body to retain body fat, and instead you flushed extra calories as waste. -
Long Distance Hiking/vigorous exercise after surgery
Inspectorjh84 replied to Colin from California's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I used to run 8 miles straight in the military and for fun. Im hoping to be able to run that Marathon one day. I used to love running so much. Once I got up over 240 pounds I started only using the elliptical or doing something lower impact for my knees. Hope this surgery gets me down to my goal weight...I used to love running long distance. -

Always definitely something to think about after surgery. Since your stomach helps produce many hormones. I would think this is why most people are a bit emotional after surgery. I am hoping that my presence of mind about all this, and I know someone personally who has used the same doctor and got great results, will help me not have that buyer's remorse feeling that so many people get after the surgery... Lol I do get buyers remorse even after I buy a new and awesome truck! hmmm...got to think about the end goal....Looking great skinny and having an awesome truck...lol -
Im craving steaks and pork belly! Cant really do that on this 1000 calorie diet! I think my youtube subscriptions were mostly about New Technology, and food shows..I am about to go through and delete those subscriptions...lol Darn you Guga for always having a cool food experiment!

Why are you grouchy though? Pain at incision or just general discomfort? -
Hey there OBX mine is this week nervous as well, but nothing to much to worry about I think.

loose skin after gastric sleeve
Inspectorjh84 replied to John40's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey John40, we have similar Stats...I am 6ft and 267 lbs. I am hoping for no loose skin, based on what I have been told. I have not been this heavy for very long. So I'm hoping the stretch has not become permanent. I really think it depends a lot on how long you have been at your heaviest. -

Im scheduling 6 days off, mostly a desk job, with occasional lifting of about 40 lbs. (definitely will follow my doctors instructions though and not lift more than 30 lbs within a month. -
Hello Erin, My first post here, and I thought I would join up today. My surgery is scheduled July 6th...Excited.
