Hello! I'm Colin and as I write this I am 3 weeks out from getting My VSG with Doctor Chen at UCLA Center for Obesity and Metabolic Health. I've been Obese since I was in my early teens and have struggled with keeping my weight in a healthy range for as long as I can remember. The thing that has led me to bariatric surgery is my weight has finally started affecting my life in ways I cannot ignore. I can't keep up with coworkers or friends, I become short of breath after small physical movements, my bloodwork has begun to show signs of fatty liver and high cholesterol. in short, I need to prioritize my health.
I am here at Bariatric Pal because in my research I've learned it's the place to be to connect with other people like me who have the experience and knowhow to help make this a successful process. It seems daunting at the moment but I am excited and ready for this positive life change.
Please feel free to reach out, I would love to hear any advice or pointers as I head into surgery.
