Mom of twins, I hear you. I got banded on the 12th and am miserable. In a lot of pain (can't breathe, move or walk). But, how in the hell did you get back to work so quickly? I'm taking 2 weeks off and with all the pain I'm in, I'm sure glad I did. I know it'll get better but wow, this really takes you out of circulation for a while. I'm still glad I did it though. -

Thanks for the support everyone! I just got banded on the 12th and came home yesterday afternoon from the hospital. I feel a lot of pain when getting up and down but other than that I am fine. Thirsty, but no hunger. I'm trying to drink 2 ozs. of water every hour, will up it to 2 ozs. every 1/2 hour today to get to the 48 ozs. per day your suppossed to be taking in in addition to your liquid meals. -

JillRenee15, I just wanted to say "I heard that about the O.T. and only getting paid for the 40 hour work weeks" while we are out. I work a lot of O.T. too! -

Damn, I was just going to ask about what you guys thought drinking a glass of wine after work. That's what I like to do, drink a glass of wine and watch a really good movie with my husband. I was wondering if I could do that with the lap band. -

I totally feel what everyone's saying.about things they won't miss...the digging bra straps, pulling at your clothes to hide your rolls every time you get up, avoiding sex, the blood pressure cuff, Lane Bryant, everything. Why are all the fat clothes ugly??? -

My surgery is Friday the 12th. Don't get the time until tommorrow but I too get nausea from the anesthesia. If they could give me something to prevent that, I'd be fine. -

Had endoscopy today found small hernia

Hi I had the endo thing last Thrs. and my doc found what he called a "huge" hernia. He said he will repair it during the surgery. And yes, I have awful reflux. Never knew it was from a hernia. -
