  1. For me, I feel like a lump in my throat and a bit nauseous. If I try and take another bite It gets worse. I can hold it and politely excuse myself from the table and hit the toilet. It's not like gut wretching vomit it's more like relief of pressure with a bit of food and a lot of slime. I can go on eating normally a little more mindful of how I'm chewing my food afterwards. It's not healthy but it's more bothersome then painful.
  2. I was banded on the 8th and feeling great. Walked 2 miles today. Don't have much restriction, I can drink to my hearts content it seems. First Fill is on Dec 1st because of travel for work
  3. I'm 6 days post-op and I feel like I have hardly any restriction. I can pop open and drink an 11 oz can of Atkins Advantage without having to sip at all. I don't notice any change. I assumed because it was liquid it was just going straight through the pouch into the main portion of my stomach and that it was normal. I also, assumed (or hoped) once I started on solids that the solids would sit in my pouch and fill me up so I didn't eat as much.
  4. Just joined here. Had my initial surgical consult on August 18th. Surgeon said I could probably have the surgery done by end of September. I have most of my test done, have my nutritionist appointment scheduled for tomorrow then just need to see a Mental health specialist and get an EGD and I'm ready to roll. I've been overweight for about 10 years now, morbidly obese for about 6. I've tried successfully quite a few times to loose weight but it always seems to make it's way back. My father had the lap band done and dropped from a 42 waist to a 34 in 9 months so I decided it was about time for me to go through with it. There has been a lot of Dr. appointments over the last few weeks trying to get everything done. I go to the nutritionist tomorrow, not really sure what to expect.

    Greetings from MD

It depends on your insurance. I have BCBS Federal, which supposedly is the easiest as far as requirements. I was quite surprised when my Doc told me I could have it so soon.
